I probably don't have time to really help with your translation, but let me suggest "Quick save" and "Quick load" (or "Quicksave" and "Quickload" if you don't have space) instead of "Save slot" and "Load slot". A direct transliteration of the Japanese just sounds better to me.
Also, I assume "Solution" should be "Hint". You actually can get a "Solution" (答えを見てしまう) option as an unlockable though (it appears right under ヒント見ちゃう when you get it).
The purple makkun races are hard as hell. In the game itself, at least there's the quicksave feature. I find myself taking at least 10 tries on each race, and it being right down to the wire at the end. It's not fair that purple makkun gets a straight shot each time. :P
Are ya still working on this one? I realize its been like a year. Just wondering how much progress you ended up making, it's a pretty great game.

Which is sad.
Twice over I attempted to hack this game to English... but the main problem is that I don't know Japanese at all.
I know exactly what to do and how to hack every menu to say anything, but the lack of knowledge of the Japanese language renders my attempts moot.
Thanks for your interest though. Maybe someday.
