mark frost lived with my father at the time of this show and recorded his taking a shit from time to time and used some clips for the opening of this show.
i used to work for a guy that did the still photography for this series. he was a nutjob, so i am sure he got along well with the rest of the crew. haha. good times.
I beg your pardon, 'asa', there were seven episodes in the enitre series. I had long thought there were only six (as that was the "standard" order for most "limited" series at the time). I'm happy they were seen intact elsewhere before the DVD release....
Regardless if people think it's good or bad, the show seems to be way a head of it's time. I know that's said a lot, but the sense of humor it has (or is trying to have) is very similar to the likes of Police Squad (another show that was a head of it's time), 30 Rock and to a lesser extent Arrested Development.
I say this because of the random humor, especially the monologue for the guy who has bad vision. If he had made this show a decade or so later, it would've propably laster a lot longer.
Some ABC executives still wanted David Lynch to produce another TV series after "TWIN PEAKS" left the air- and this was the result. This was Lynch's "alternate universe" look at the "Golden Age Of Television", circa 1957. There are two "camps" for this series: those who adore it, and those who loathe it. Considering what the network scheduled at the time, perhaps it's just as well this "fell through the cracks"; only 3 of the 6 episodes produced ever aired. First telecast on June 20, 1992.
Thank you SO much for sharing this with us. I've wanted to see it again ever since it aired in '92; I thought it was hilarious then, and I think it's hilarious now. I so look forward to seeing the other six episodes some day.
One of the renowned critics said this show was the worst thing ever broadcast on TV. But I loved it. Filled with absurdity made me laugh to tears in high school. Vladja is so freakingly absurd and funny, accompanied by Betty makes me roll on the floor and laugh. "Bati Ken yu skrem", "Ketchen sen" - these phrases rule.
love this show!

What is that noise in the introduction after the saxophone plays the 5 notes(it can be heard at 0:08, and 0:34)?

Good God, I remember watching this, when it aired.
Everyone was amazed ABC even ran it, because the way they treated Twin Peaks, OTA was pretty much DOA.

This makes Twin Peaks look sane by comparison, and I love Twin Peaks.
