  • The 2007 Panoz DP01 was A LOT less expensive to buy, run, crash, feed, house, repair, etc., than the current Dallara IndyCar. The Dallara stayed due to the late nature of the merger and the DP01 being untested on ovals.

  • Rumor that is going on is that the Panoz will be the chassis that the IRL will use in 2011 or 2012.

  • @afannell too bad you're wrong. seeing that car back on the track would have been such a great thing to see. Too bad it won't happen.

    /sadface/

  • The main reason that they went with the IRL cars was to cut down on the costs to run in the series. The champ cars were so much more expensive because they had turbos and turbo boost aswell and they are a lot more power 800 HP.

  • But the series are still talking about going to turbo engines in either 2011 or 2012.

  • its a shame they reunited with IRL, the IRL cars are soo boring and bad.. at least they should have used the CART cars

  • @OuterLimitsSledding Agreed, at least in part. CCWS cars for R/S and IndyCars for ovals. But that would, at least, have doubled the costs...

  • they stuffed up indy back in the merge in the 90s

  • this wkend in indycar

  • Fantastic new for ChampCar fans and Paul Tracy fans!!

Paul Tracy will be back at Edmonton!!!

  • i was there too and its just awsome. im glad the indycar put on there schedule, im there this year too!
