  • helpful....

  • thank you for good advice! you made me feel better.

  • I got pregnant with my first girl at 22

  • your ideas for connecting time and little things between you and your hubby are good in general, i love babies but dont plan on ever having any. There is my health that makes me not want to and because of health likely couldn't anyways (Endometriosis, you explaining etopic pain sounds like my monthly :S) but anyways cause i am in chronic pain it distracts me from my guy but i will try to use some of your ideas cause i am sure he will love them.

  • im 36 weeks thank you so much BIG HELP im a first time mum to be and ill be taking ur advice thanks so much for a great video ur daughter is beautiful

  • wow lol the crock pot is a good idea. thanks :)

  • your baby is sooo cute

  • I'm 34 and having my second baby soon (26 weeks preg). My son is 10. Yeah i'm anxious again this time. You are very switched on and i loved watching this advice. Thanks :D

  • you so young to having ababy

  • @20051135k hmmm really? I'm 22 but age doesn't define how good of a parent you are. Thanks for your input though! :-)

  • michelenas tv dinners are really good too. there like 90 cents and are good and u just put them in a microwave

  • i am trying to remember to have hubby and me time, and we haven't done anything up till 20weeks but i am trying to be about him, but at the same time there is so much we need to do, we have no name, no stuff or anything.

    advice on finding a balance?

  • lol! jason is funny....all children who have working fathers they are naturally attached to their mothers more lol...dont feel bad jas! haha do you work lace?

  • Thanks for the info hon. Good advice!

  • Thank you!

  • LOL your husband is funny, I wanted to replay that scene and show it to my hubby. LOL

  • I like you!

  • Lol thanks

  • hey whats a crock pot

  • a crockpot is like a big pot that heats up and cooks food.

  • This happened with my husband too, and even though it was normal it just made him feel like such a failure. Especially when Mommy needs some sleep. I'd say that this lasted about a month (where it was really bad)

On a positive note, it switches back and forth from mommy to daddy.

Good point on being direct about what you want done. This helps when you're so tired and frustrated, and avoids miscommunication.

  • hey! I'm studying early childhood education, and I just wanted to let you know that it's completely normal that your daughter wants to be around you more than your husband! At that age, it's usually the mother they want to be with, and that will go back and forth between the mom and dad at different stages :) so don't worry and don't let Jason worry about it :) It's completely normal! You guys look like your doing great!!! :D

  • Love your videos! and advice for pregnant women not planning on breast feeding as soon as you deliver ask for a breast binder at the hospital!!!! and wear it for two weeks.

  • I LOOOOOOVE your personality lol, so warm and bubbly, and her onesie is adorable! You are sooooo right about the first few days, you can't sleep because you don't want to miss a thing. And the energy is on 5000 lol its like you're on a non stop sugar rush, then you crash and burn lol. Motherhood is grand ain't it lol.

  • LOL thanks !!

  • When I was a baby, my mama said I wouldn't let anyone touch me but her. My daddy or granny couldn't even feed me, she'd have to come home from work every three hours just to feed me...Then one day I just grew outta it.

  • laci you are always so postive and i love it. you are an awesome mom and your pretty little daughter is lucky to have you :)

  • aw thank you!!

  • I will message you :-)

  • OMG i was so hungry after i had Tatum...holy moly!! I can remember that they wheeled me into my room from delivery and someone had burnt popcorn (and you know how that stinks) and i was OMG i smell popcorn and it smells soooo good!! LMAO!!! Oh and tell Jason it will change, the baby is totally mommas baby but it will change like 20 times, you then him then you then him. His time will come, she'll be a daddies girl before you know it and your heart will be broken!! LOL!!!

  • Thanks for the advice Laci =]

  • My daughter cries when my husband holds her because she wants me, I know that it breaks his heart and it doesnt allow me to have a "break"

  • great vid!!! cant wait to see more

  • I love the "baby kicks"!!!!!

  • wow i really love this video....great advice...

  • Great advise and video!

  • Thank you!!

  • aww tell Jason not to be to upset! Thats very common for a baby to be attached to mom, it makes sence.. you carry the baby for 9 months then you are with them more then anyone else! She will grow out of it, I promise!! :)

  • LOL Thanks!!

  • Awesome video Laci

  • Thank you

  • Thanks Laci for this video, it has made me realize that I may be neglecting my husband. I guess its really easy to do, but you have reminded me to recognize my husband a little bit more :0) I really enjoy youre videos, i have been watching since you became pregnant, and I became pregnant with my first baby not too long after you. Love you girl!

  • It's REALLY easy to "ignore" them even without trying to, you just don't realize it. I'm glad I have helped you realize it. :-)

  • nice video! How much does J.J. weigh now??

  • Thank you. Last apt. was 3 weeks ago and she weighed 11.12

  • Tell Jason not to worry my parents said I didn't like my dad until I was almost 2. I guess he was just kinda tall and really big. haha

  • LOL I hope they can get a bond before that though...

  • Hey Laci, you've lost so much weight - looking good! Are you still calorie counting and doing the 30 day shred?

  • Thank you!! Yes, I actually work out once a day sometimes twice and just eat really really healthy!!

  • really good advice =)

  • Thank you

  • Really nice vid!

  • Thank you

  • i LOVE LOVE LOVE her outfit in this video-where did you get it?? great video, i love how open you are talking about your mistakes so others can learn..

  • Thank you!! It's Carters :-)

  • After I had my daughter I wasn't the least bit hungry. But the next day, oh man, bring it on!

  • LOL

  • Thanks for this vid Laci:)

  • yw. thanks for watching!!

  • Thanks for the GREAT advice Laci! xoxoxo

  • yw. thanks for watching!!

  • See, I know how Jason feels...

It's the other way around with me..

I can't get Ace to go to sleep or stop crying, but as soon as he goes to Daddy or Grandma, then he cheers up and passes out...

He's only 3 weeks old, and I feel like he already doesn't like me... and I'm his mother!

  • OH NO!! Im so sorry!!

  • Definitely enjoyed this one! One of my favorites! Gas bubbles--me too, I think the same thing and it totally feels like the early flutters of a baby! LOL!

  • LOL I know right?!

  • Cute. Haha.. These things are funny and Helpful. I wish people would have told me some of the things I learned by myself also. lol.. Oh well. You are such a good mommy. and Jason is A good daddy. Some kids out there don't even have dads that are in the picture at all. He may work all the time. But He loves her, and she sees him every day. lol. good job guys.! loves...

  • LOL

  • after i had allison my belly felt so wierd! like just mushy and empty! i had ppd real bad! i was just crying all the time just for no reason! no one told me about that! my fiance quit his job for a month to stay home and bond with allison! now she love love loves him! she gets so excited when he comes in the door she claps and runs to him!

  • aw that's cute

  • I know that with my husband and my 5 month old, it just took time. He isn't as afraid to hold him and have more to do with him now, but doesnt understand why he cant calm him down sometimes. The only thing that has seemed to work for us is for my husband to hold him exactly like i do to go to sleep and to use the exact methods I do.

just try having your hubby do exavtly what you do. Hope this helps.

  • Thank you for the advice

  • It was the opposite for me. I had Noah c-section and I wasnt hungry fr like two weeks after having him LOL The funny thing is,I work graveyard, and my hubby is with Noah more than me:( But, he is ECSTATIC when I get home. Babies are more aqttatched to mommy naturally!

  • Yeah, I know what you mean. My friend Sabrina had a c-section and she was puking and couple eat anything either.

  • I'm telling you though. The last month of my pregnancy we could NOT keep enough food in the house LOL . My sister took me to IHOP and I had a potato skillet, stuffed hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy and 2 stacks of pancakes, and was still STARVING LOL

  • our daughter is like that when it comes to be and my husband btu now we are really trying ot make daddy and amina time and its working il go to the gorcery store and leave him with her and he gets to bond or if shes crying i make him go check on her cuz he realizes that shes not that bonded with him

  • Great advice, thank you!!

  • Let your hubby know as she gets older she will want him more. As babys they want there mommy. When they get older they want daddy!

  • I hope so, I hope they have a strong bond :-)

  • YES! Get a crockpot or some type of roaster oven lol That has been my savior through this pregnancy and I know it will continue to be later :) your too cute lol

  • LOL thanks!!

  • Good point on holding your tongue. I do that too andnow my husband figures if he can't do it right he'll just let me do it. Leason learned. Now with this baby, you better bet i'm gunna let him do anything he wants the way he wants to lol

  • YEAH!! LOL

  • As far as getting daddy to help more, I'm totaly lost on that one also. My husband lets me do everything and my daughter would much rather me do anything now. She gets really upset when daddy steps in. So The only advice i have would be i guess try to get him to do things even if she crys. She will get used to it and so will he. Otherwise you have a two year old that sticks like glue.... likeme and my daughter. :)

  • Oh goodness, I hope him and her can get a strong bond, I really want them to be close. Will def. take that advice!! Thanks

  • OMG! I do the SAME THING with gas bubbles~! LMAO!!!!!! And me and my husband have used condoms EVERY time since we've had her so that would be a miracle or something....HAHAHA! Love it!

  • My daughter is the same way with my husband....She will play with him for a little bit but then starts crying and wanting me. I think it's just something they will have to grow out of....All they know are their mommys because daddy is at work all day. I guess they don't have a very long memory, does that make sense? I think they will bond more when the babies get a little older and can remember who daddy is...=)

  • You're completely right. Jason works all the time, and since I'm home with her all day...she only wants me. I really hope they can get a strong bond

  • I knoooww! I feel the same way....My poor hubby is like "she only wants you, HERE" and I know his feelings are hurt and I feel like it's my fault sometimes...But we can't blame ourselves. I always makes videos to show him after work of what she did that day to make him feel closer to her...My dad didn't spend much time with us so I think that's why I'm trying SO HARD to make sure they have a bond...

  • Same thing here. Hopefully both our daughters will have a strong bond with them when they get a little older :-)

  • You are too funny ;) cute videos

  • Thank you

  • i would say that to get jason more into it just do it.. just have him hold her and take care of her even though she wants you.. that way she will just get more use to it

  • Thanks for the advice :-)

  • woah laci!

    You have lost weight!

So proud of you and happy!

    Good Job!

  • Thanks!! Yeah, I weigh less now than I did before I got pregnant

  • Good on you!

  • what is crockpots?

  • They are like pans that heat up slowly. You can cook almost anything in them. Google them, you will see :-)

  • oh ok thanks

  • Crockpots are amazing!!! I have to come up with more meals for mine before my baby comes because I plan on using it LOT!

  • Theres a lot of online recipes...just google "crockpot recipes" hopefully that helps :-)

  • lol!!! You are too cute in this video!! You def look so happy!! Great advice!! I so thought about the crock-pot but never had a chance to buy it! But Ive been telling the hubbs We Need A Crock Pot!! lol! Great vid like always!!

  • Thanks hun!! Get that crock pot, for both yall's sake LOL

  • Great advice Laci!! This will really help all the new moms and moms-to-be. You are so right about guys not being able to read your mind. They really don't think about those small things that need to be done. You have to let them know and remind them. I totally know what you mean about the gas bubbles in your stomach. I feel that sometimes and it feels just like a baby kick! It's so weird:)

  • Thanks hun!! I know, it really does!!

  • HAHA OMG i know what you mean about the gas bubbles...lol...i thought the same thing..."Am i pregnant again?"...lol. Great video!

  • I love our crockpot, it's seriously the best thing ever. It came with a mini crockpot too, and it's awesome, heheh! You are such a sweet person! :)

  • LOL crockpots rock :-)

  • OMG when Jason comes in...my baby is the same exact way. He's silent as soon as I hold him. There's no advise on that, that's just the way it is.

  • I had that exact same feeling of "I look pretty good" right after I had my little boy. I thought I was so skinny and my stomach had pretty much disappeared, only to find when I looked at some photo's it was much bigger than I had thought, but at the time it felt so much smaller, it was crazy

  • RIGHT!!?? LOL

  • Great vid. Regarding the baby not calming down with Jason... well walk away. Let him handle the situation in the way that he thinks fit. Believe me they have their own way on caring for the baby. Even if it seems like he is doing something wrong, let him learn on his own. He will get the hang of it and she will learn that he also can also care for her. It just takes time. Wish you the best!

  • Thanks for the advice!!

  • I know what you mean about biting your tongue it kind of pushes them away as a father. That is very good advise. How big is JJ now?

  • thanks!! shes 11.12 and in 0-3 mo clothes :-)

  • Such great advice for all moms-to-be and new moms, thank you!

  • thank you

  • Thanks a lot for the video. At 34 weeks I found it really informative and helpful.

BTW, it really shows you lost weight. Looking good! Keep up the good work :)

  • I'm glad you found it helpful :-)

Thank you, I actually weigh LESS now than I did before I got pregnant!!

  • look at you calming your baby down in 2 seconds flat what a great mommy :D

  • LOL

  • you look so super cute in this vid you can really tell your dropping the weight!!! your doing a WONDERFUL job

  • Thank you

  • i ate like crazy for two weeks, OMG! I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE, Everyone I talked to was cranky and tired, and MY son would NOT GO TO ANYONE! I WANTED TO CRY! HUBBY TRIED TO GIVE ME A BREAK FOR A COUPLA HOURS, AND ALL HE DID WAS SCREAM THE ENTIRE TIME! IT PASSES! JUST SOOTHE HER AND TELL HER DADDY'S GOTCHA, DADDY LOVES YOU...

  • Something I wish someone would have told me is that your milk turns yellowish orange before it turns white. I was pumping and thought something was wrong with me. LOL

  • LOL

  • Very great advice Laci!

  • Thank u

  • Thanks so much for this video! I love your videos! They are so meaningful and great to see you being real about everything. My husband enjoyed this video I am sure because you touched mostly on not forgetting your spouse! Loves it! Beauitful Baby Girl!

  • THANK YOU!! LOL I bet he did ;-)

  • Laci..tell Jason not to worry about her doing that to him. My twins BOTH did that to my husband when they were JJ's age. My husband worked like Jason does, and I stayed home with them & I'm the one they bonded w/& they did exactly the same thing. However, they are older now (13 mos) they know that daddy is coming home and then they BOTH want him cause he has been gone all day long. Tell him not to worry, when she gets older she will miss daddy alot & want only him when he gets home.

  • Thanks for the advice, ur such a doll, love ur laughs..

  • LOL thanx for watchin!!

  • I think that's the mommy rock. I was rocking along with you with my little one in my arms. I rock so much I dont even realize it anymore. I will be doing the dishes rocking back and forth.

  • LOL THAT'S SOOOO TRUE!!

  • I love Crock Pot to but need some more recipes!! Do you have any good ones???

  • I only eat chicken, but I like to mix chicken, potatoes, cream of chicken, carrots all together...it's soooo good!! AND I love rump roast and noodles but I don't cook the noodles in there :-)

  • You can also make meatballs in there too!!

  • I was the same way after I had my daughter I was like omg do I feel kicking? lollllll. Then I was like no I'm crazy! And I even had stomach muscles that would twitch for a while and it felt so much like kicking lol.

  • LOL

  • haha i felt so skinny too! And I need to learn how to bite my tongue around Jake when he's taking care of our daughter. I want everything PERFECT (make sure her clothes arent wrinkled when she goes in her swing, make sure she's wiped good enough, etc). It's so hard! Good video hun :)

  • Thanks, I agree..it is hard.

  • :) this video is def helpful hun!!! I made my hubby watch it!

  • LOL!! Thanks hun I hope that helps you

  • I had the same problem with my son crying when dad would hold him. Trust me it ends eventually. He loves his daddy so much now. Also my DH is gone now and is deployed and when my hubby came home on RNR my youngest would have nothing to do with him. so when he gets back he has to get use to him all over again. Good luck. She is just use to being with you all day. Its to be expected. Your looking so good!!

  • aw sorry about that, I'm sure it's hard on both your baby and you DH :-(

    Thank you for the compliment

  • Good advice! Very positive!

  • Thanks hun!!

  • Good video topic I brought Ant bunch of stuff I may not need yet mostly is toys but was on clearance so lol

  • Hopefully he will get to use them!!

  • you have such a cute spunky attitude...great advice....beautiful baby; can definately tell she's a mommas girl! Thats exactly how my 9 wk old is w me and my husband is a little jealous that he prefers me but I just think its a comfort for babies to be w their momma's.

  • Thank you. It's nice sometimes but I also hate it bc I want them to have a good strong bond though...

  • Great video! I have been a Mommy for 2 years and I am still learning stuff! The learning never stops! Maybe I should do a video like the for older babies.. hmm

  • I'm sure that would def. help other mommies as well as me!!

  • LOL! I love my crock pot.. its my best friend :) You're too cute Laci!! I love my crockpot too!

Love your comment about the material stuff for your baby. HAlf the stuff that you think you are going to use you don't..

  • LOL

  • my daughter does the same thing with mike! she will cry until she turns blue while he's holding her but as soon as i take her she stops. i've tried letting him take her for a couple of hours during the day but nothing works. if you find something that helps you guys, please let me know! i thought i was the only one that thought gas bubbles might be another baby! haha

  • I KNOW, IT'S SCARY HUH!! OK I will and I will probably make a video about it once I find something that works-So far, I have gotten a couple advice-(1.)Leave the baby w/ the dad (2.) Let the dad have a certain thing he does w. baby *like bathtime or story time..something.* Will let you know if it works :-)

  • I'll look out for that video. Mommy needs a break sometimes. lol I think the one thing I do wrong is always taking her from Mike as soon as she crys. It's hard to see your baby cry like that though. I'll let him have a chance to calm her down instead of me always coming to the rescue. I'll let you know if that changes anything for us. Good luck for the 4 of us! haha

  • As for the breastfeeding, though most people do go cold turkey and wrap their breast( I did it too) it also is not the best way, it can actually cause an infection and its best to pump a TEENY bit out over the time and allow the milk supply to drop, then totally vanish.

  • Well said Laci, I remember having to learn all this after my first child, and guess what...even after my 3rd I still need to rethink the past and do the things that worked. Good Vid.

  • LOL THANKS!!

  • haha! I think the same thing when I feel gas bubbles! I know I'm not pregnant but even if I was there would be know way I felt the baby move already.. I'm only 8 weeks post partum and we've only DTD twice since 6 weeks PP! hahaha Thats hilarious though! I thought I was crazy for thinking that!

  • LOL GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE!!

  • laci i love you .. what a great video ... omg i always get little bumpy feelings in my tummy and it feels like baby movement and i freak out .. always turns out to be gas lol

  • LOL I LOVE YOU TOO!! I've already taken 2 PT, just to be sure :-) LOL

  • I agree with all of this!!! Great advice for new mommys! AND OMG ABOUT THE GAS BUBBLES! That has happened to me so many times and literally given me a heart attack hahaha!!

  • LOL It's crazy how we never realized it until we actually HAD a baby in there and know what it feels like!! I've already taken 2 pregnancy test just to be sure!! LOL

  • OMG ME TOOO HAHAHAHAHA... Jon and I have ONLY had safe sex since Leah, and he is like you are crazy there is NO way but I have absolutely had to make sure because it seriously feels like kicking! And I took a test on two occasions and I felt so stupid after lol... but def relieved!

  • same here!! LOL

  • I like the way you think.altho you are in your EARLY 20's you think very wisely!!!you sould be so proud of your self .wishing you all the luck

    :)

  • Thanks hun!!

  • lol about the gas bubbles! I had a c-section and get random muscle twitches in my lower abs that feel like a baby kicking!! lol!

  • IT DOES RIGHT?! Glad I'm not alone!! LOL

  • about Jason coming in and saying JJ cries with him and not with you...I go out of the house and have Inder take care of her. It forces them to cope with whoever cares for them.

  • Right, I will def. try that. Thank you!!

  • I thought I was skinny too when I had Ajay...and then I saw pics this last weekend of my belly right after...and I still looked 6 months preggers! lol

  • LOL i know right!!

  • Wow, this is an amazing video! I don't have a baby or anything but in the future when I do I will definitely take all this advice with me!!!!!! =]]

You are a great mommy for sure!

  • Thanks hun!!
