This seems like a great idea and I hope I'll have a chance to contribute. That being said, this video was extremely painful to watch with the monotone voice, lack of other audio (sound effects or music), lack of creativity in describing the situation, and missing the reason why services like paypal and google checkout take a cut from a sale (and why payswarm wouldn't have to take such a cut).
@texme I believe that if someone creates something on the Web that somebody else finds valuable, that there should be a universal way to express appreciation for that creation. One practical form of demonstrating appreciation for something is money. So, if somebody is going to take the time to investigate something, create music, or create art - and someone else finds enjoyment/usefulness in that, the person creating should be given the option to make a living doing what they love.
@msporny you cant really play "Twister with all the "Scrabble" pieces ... you cant go swimming with a hockey getup! its a different game msporny... your remuneration ideals are obsoleting, we are coming to the end of a fiction distortion, as we approach "Peak Fiction" we move into the new game... think "James Bond forced to be a permaculture farmer" for a glimpse of whats to come. you have to admit that sounds interesting! see what i mean watch?v=ME7K6P7hlko

Why do you think Journalists, musicians, artist etc... fiction contributions warrant remuneration in this new socioeconomic environment?
