@louiedovey I think you summed it up perfectly. When i saw this concert advertised I thought it could be good promotion for nick drake a drastically underrated and under publicised artist, but they didn't give a very good interpretation of Drakes songs at all. Lisa Hannigan was as good as ever but there rest were tripe
@louiedovey I don't agree -it was a totally superb show and Kate St John, who is one of my fave musicians orchestrated it wonderfully. I have been a Nick Drake fan for 41 years and he would have been impressed by these beautiful and moving interpretations -which were done in honour of a great singer, so we should applaud their efforts. I enjoyed every second .
Fantastic song, beautifully rendered. Will definitely look out for some footage of the Barbican show - would be lovely to be able to see Lisa, as well as hear her!
We went toThe Barbican on Friday to see this show..1st class..agree with all the comments, They did film the Barbican show so watch out for that!!! Thanks for posting this btw.
I saw this show at Warwick Arts Centre. Fantastic stuff. Robyn Hitchcock was amazing, but Krystle Warren who I'd not come across before was definitely a highlight. For someone who does'nt look that big, she has a BIG voice in her!
Ah, so glad someone caught SOMETHING of this event. Lisa absolutely stole the show anytime she opened her mouth.I'd kill to hear to hear studio recordings of her doing City Clock or Black-Eyed Dog. What a night...
@awfullyrealgun I couldn't agree more. It was all good but Lisa Hannigan was amazing totally transforming Black Eyed Dog and interpreting City Clock beautifully.
Saw the show tonight -absolutely brilliant -one of the best I've ever seen.

This whole show is a complete farce. Energy-less uninspired butchery. Pathetic.
