  • steve jobs is a great mentore a great designer

RIP Steve Jobs Moment Of silence there will never be another one like him

    :(

  • @adiblasi steve was a great man a great mentor and a great designer and legend goes

in steves valt they found product they found 3 years worth of products

R.I.P Steve Jobs Moment of silence

  • I bet if I see you in real life and I sung this you would say "Knock it off !" LOL P.S this is TheDex1103

  • I've come back to this so much Alfred I wouldn't be surprised if I was half of the views! :D

  • ITUNES!!

  • AHHHH HAAAAAA XD

You REALLY Need A Record Deal!

  • So Alfred how much auto tune was used in that?

  • @michaelconsidineshow Just a bit on the chorus, but it was used for the intended purpose of pitch correction, as opposed to the overused 'Cher' effect so common in today's pop music. Specifically, I removed the vibrato and went 'pitch perfect' on the 'ohhh" in "ohhh ess ten" and the phrasing was cloned to create the harmony in the chorus as well.

  • @adiblasi The software used was Melodyne.

  • RIP 😢😭😞

  • Bill and steve are the best men in history hands down.

  • @freecomptechreview I like your comment, giving a nod to Bill Gates as well. I've had the pleasure of meeting him at a private cocktail party on his corporate campus in Redmond. He was an excellent host, and I enjoyed chatting with him.

  • @adiblasi You really get around.

  • This really is my favorite song now!, GREAT job!

  • Nice tribute video. It's so good it's like "Click. Listen. Boom."

But... there's one more thing: Why don't you put some pictures into the video?

    Nevertheless, your videos are great.

  • @iCMarkus Hi Markus - with regard to your question of "why I did not embed pictures," I wanted to keep it very minimal, due to the situation and the individual.

  • Even if i'm a bit slow on the draw here, better late than never -- retracting my previous (and entirely uncalled for) remarks, Steve actually wasn't that bad of a guy. Knew his asthetics, and played a major role in making computers catch on with the public.

  • That was very nice, Al. I think Steve would have enjoyed that as well. RIP Steve.

  • Excellent piece. I am saving this one to my iTunes.

  • That was awesome!

When I heard Steve died I had to have a drink and go for a walk (and listen to my IPod Nano.) It's things like this that make one acutely aware of one's own mortality. He really did 'Put a Dent in the Universe.' We will never see his like again. I remember when I bought my Indigo iBook Firewire back in Nov. 2001 and put OSX 10.1 on it shortly thereafter. It was the best computer I ever had. I used it every day for 5 years and it was reliable as the sunrise.

  • @fixman88 do you still have it?

  • @JakobPowellTECH Unfortunately no. Circumstances forced me to sell it three years ago. :(

  • @fixman88 i bet you wish you still had it...

  • @JakobPowellTECH

    Yes I do :(

  • Had no idea you could sing accurate pitch, Alfred. VERY NICE WORK.

  • Excellent song; Al, you have a great voice!

  • This was so good...

  • Steve's passing actually made me sadder than when my close relatives died...interesting...

  • Someone said on twitter: "Steve Jobs changed the world, now he'll change heaven."

    RIP Steve Jobs

  • 4 dislikes? I have lost faith in humanity.

  • People say that immigrants took their jobs; but cancer took our Jobs. :-(

  • America is now jobless.

  • I remember you playing it on the live stream. I was like, maybe Alfred will upload it by the time Steve Jobs died... but I guess I was right, although I thought it'd be several decades later

  • i love this, well done al

  • @adiblasi Would you mind posting the lyrics to this? May I put this on my iPod?

  • I've been waiting for this. I'm still saddened that the one person I had respect and feelings for outside of my family and friends is no longer with us.

  • RIP Steve Jobs. =(

I made something similar to this, but it was more of a piano improvisation than a real song like this. No doubt though that the Tech World will be scooping itself off the floor for quite some time after this loss. :-\

  • This song is great, a good tribute. R.I.P Steve Jobs.

  • lovely

  • I'm sure Steve Jobs would have loved to have heard this! Shame you didn't send it to him some time ago....RIP Steve Jobs.

  • lol. nicely done! really!

  • i just cried a little!

  • You've done a good thing here mate, thank you for composing this song. RIP Steve Jobs.

  • The video of this song need to be either : a montage to apple OR a timlapse of this being made

  • R.I.P. Steve Jobs

    February 24, 1955 - October 5, 2011

I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU AS THE KING OF TECHNOLOGY !!!

  • I hate Lady Ga Ga and I'm not normally a big fan of parodies, but that brought a smile to my face, quite amusing really, nice job.

  • For god sake guys, he is dead, so many other people have died and everyone keeps on talking about it, this man makes phones, laptops and music players for us, and when we notic something missing, he tells us all that we dont need it, and then a years time he will say that this new phone NEEDS it, come on guys, this guy has been scamming people for our money for years.

He is dead, so move on

  • @sgtparfitt If you can't understand the many ways he's changed the world (several times) then you really need to stop being so ignorant, look up his past and his achievements and then rethink your whole attitude towards him. He was a true visionary, if it wasn't for him we'd still be at the level of computing that was common decades ago. He made "good enough" not good enough, he excelled at producing quality. He made it so hugely complex things are a simple click or tap away with his obsession.

  • @TalesOfWar A man who sells a product that he convinces people that is not required, and then the next year he says it is required is not changing the world, sure the processing power that made the iPad, iPhone and iPod's really fast and responsive is great, but its not world changing, all I am saying is that one man died and everyone, and i do mean everyone just keeps on talking about it, just move on with your life and stop going on about it

  • @sgtparfitt Then why, pray tell, are you watching, and commenting on a video dedicated to his memory and achievements? "Just move with your life and stop going on about it."

  • is the end made by you?? because it was very beutifull. it just screams make a song. and well nice video it is sad that steve died :-/

  • Put it on iTunes?

  • wow alfred! lmao

  • It's unfortunate that this was only able to be released because of Steve Job's passing. Thank you Alfred for posting this snippet of history.

  • Hey Alfred, I remember watching you work live on this song. It's great to finally hear it. I'd love to see you do video to go with it.

  • YES!! THANK YOU UNCLE AL!!!

  • 

  • will the make OS XI ?

  • 

  • Finally released–Though on a very depressing occasion unfortunately.

Rest in Peace Mr. Jobs. You have literally changed the world. You were (and still) are my inspiration, as well as many, many others on this planet and you will be greatly missed by all. One things for sure–I will NEVER look at my MacBook & iPod the same way again.

Take care of him for us up there.

  • 

  • :o The Greatest OS was the LISA OS hahaha.... Cool song even though I dislike "Lady Gaga". Steve will surely be missed in the Apple & Computer Industry!! He's in a much better place now. May he Rest In Peace!!

  • yes awesome Alfred! too cool.

  • it's very unfortunate that Steve passed however this song is phenomenal!

  • you show make a video for this

  • Ah, this is wonderful Alfred. I think this is actually the first time I have heard you sing. Quite nice!

The song is well done overall. :D

  • @kurisux First time I've heard him sing "properly" without being a clown in the process lol. Knock it owwf. lol

  • HAHA I love this song, RIP Steve :)

  • You rock Al :) R.I.P a great man... but the lyrics put smile on my face :)

Love Steve, love Apple, love IT ... always.

  • You got permission to release it? nice!

  • Fantastic!

  • Subtitles? xD

  • Great Job!!! I!

  • You should boost up the vocals (they're too quiet) and add in another verse on how he returned to apple in '97. Then it'd be perfect, oh and you could then sell it on iTunes and donate all of the money to Steve Jobs family

  • @K2ACP or to pancreatic cancer

  • @K2ACP Nice thought, but I don't think his family needs the money, and if they're anything like Steve they'd be too humble to accept it anyway.

  • @K2ACP Why would you donate the money to the Jobs family? They have plenty of money...

  • So much better than the original Lady Gaga version in my opinion. Very creative way to honor Steve Jobs!

  • Needs a pic of Uncle Al in an all meat kilt. On second thought nah.

  • Al, this is amazing. I recommend that people send this into tech blogs I'd love other people to see this. Another great job!

  • Are you going to be sending that to the record labels or making it available for people to download? I would gladly pay you for a copy of it.

  • this is great! but it makes me think of all those keynotes, and all those wwdc's, and how much we all will miss him

  • I never cared about macs or ipods but Steve was still an awesome guy

    RIP

  • Still hard to think he's gone. I think this is the first time I have felt truly sad with a non relative passing. It feels so weird.

  • @Rtvoll to us he was family, he changed our way life and he dedicated his to make ours better. he did not just redefine the word computer but he also redefined the word hero, because to me he is one.

  • Awesome tribute! I know Steve would be proud :)

  • That ending chord sounds like a really cool Mac startup chime.

  • @Hildron101010 You are indeed correct - the very last note is the Mac startup chime that was pitch shifted to be 'musically correct' with the final note of the song, fused with a very organic sound from the Hartmann Neuron synthesizer, which is what you hear through the long sustain.

  • @adiblasi That's pretty awesome! Also do you mind if I make a music video on this? I was going to put it on YouTube and use it for my Video Production class.

  • haha this is nice.

    Rest in Peace, Steve.

  • Brilliant Alfred!

Waiting a long time to hear this fully, A fitting ODE to Steve.

  • R.I.P Steven Paul Jobs

    1955-2011

  • Awesome tribute Alfred. Steve would be proud.

  • AlfredTV style, biches.

  • Was looking forward to this for ages. Shame about the circumstances of its release...

  • @ImperialProductions They kind of already did this. And it failed. I would never want them to do this. It would be more unstable, there would be licensing issues and conflicts, revenue would probably go down on Apple's end, and their hardware market might take a bit of a dip too.

  • That was truly awesome Alfred.

  • great work :) in a time of pure sadness its great to have someone who can bring a smile back to us.

  • lol this is awesome

  • Simply amazing.

  • The production of this song beats the production of the real song by a long shot! Someone should produce an album...

  • Fucking awesome

  • bawls

  • It is nice to see this finally on YouTube RIP Steve Jobs.

  • 4th

  • Lol Alfred!

  • but the song was good lol

  • WINDOWS FOR LIFE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol
