Crazy? You have the chops, and this is an awesome version. Why not! It shows and sells these benders as far as I am concerned. I have used the Parsons White and palm paddles. I just got a lovely Fernandes Tele that was made in the same Japanese factory as Fender used at that time. I like two things about it. 1 It is nicer than most of my Teles, and it was $400 cash! A perfect candidate for the Timara. Man that was a sweet rendition! The Emanual brothers are awesome, but this was way cool! KUDOS!
While I love Tommy's playing I like Ted Greene's (RIP) version better than Tommy's but neither of them sound like a pedal steel and you do. This is brilliant! After hearing this and seeing your other videos, I'm going to get one of your Bridges but I don't know which one fits on my tele. Will the 6 saddle work on any tele? Mine's a Warmout parts guitar that my friend gave me. He gave up playing electric. Good thing because I picked out all the wood when he had it made. All top grade.
ok, i've been playing guitar about 13 years now, but even with 113 more there's no damned way i'll ever be coordinated enough to deal with all that at the same time, haha
Dont beleave Tim use a cap its all in his invention! He he an awsume guitarest as well as an infloince on my part, Very nice Tim someday I will get yer system down.
Tim, Allan from Springfield.. Man don't sell yourself short. TE would be impressed. Absolutely creative with such feeling. This is so beautiful. Such a versatile player. I have heard the smokin mind blowing hot licks,, and then to hear this beautiful piece just is incredible. Now I shall go beat my Strat against a tree. Allan
Allan from Springfield,, Dude don't sell yourself short. Yes Tommy is from another galexy but you are from another planet. Truly amazing and creative version of this song. I think TE would be impressed. Man,, you are so good it makes me want to go beat my Strat against a tree. Thanks for posting this beautiful piece of music. Allan
This is incredible and so fantastic! I've not seen or heard anything like this before. An incredible instrument played by an incredible guitarist! BEAUTIFUL! Don
Wow that was damn fine. Yeah Tommy done it up pretty good, but Tim has chops from hell as well, if I could sit in one sitting and play stuff like that I wouldn't be sitting here on youtube watching...
Hey Maestro, I take off my hat in frint of you, even if i don't wear one.... I think that culturally and musically speaking, you make America great!! Thanks for giving us a little relief when we want to hear sublim music!!
You know, before I clicked on this video, I thought, "Holy cow, does this guy know Tommy Emmanuel already did this?". But this is a much more Nashville sounding rendition and I like it a lot. I think Tommy would give this his stamp of approval.
beautiful interpretation... cannot compare this one to Tommy as they are totally different takes on the same song... for all the reasons the TE version is great, this one is "countrified" and fantastic TOO! :-) No flames here, Tim! :-) {Posted on the Acoustic Virtuosity Archives - click Bigdood - Playlists - Tommy Emmanuel Covers). Congrats!
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ! as usual Tim you are one of the best country guitarrist ever , also you have incredible imagination, good taste and great innovating ideas, 5 stars man ! will buy soon the timara string bender , take care

@BeachJazzMusic Pretty much either the 6 or 3 saddle will work on most Teles or their parts built cousins.

Tommy Emmanuel is far from the end of guitar. Just cause some guy recorded it already doesn't mean that you can't improve on it. Nice.
