It sound similar but I would argue that they are different. I wouldn't be suprised if the one in SimpleTech's vid was an AMSECO siren. This one is an Moose Products (I think)
Specifically it was a PA-400B (for the color beige)
This was not my first choice in an interior siren. It sounds too much like a regular smoke detector and is not startling enough. I want to maybe replace it with an EST Genesis or something that would instill the sense that an alarm condition exists.
Nice! I am going to do the same with my security system, but instead, I will install a Wheelock MT-12/24W. My panel does 4001 style code 3, so I have to set it to continuous horn.

No, no pull station(s) accompanied this security/fire alarm system.
Mostly a DSC security system with wireless smoke detectors.

I have that siren. I removed the built in siren driver so I can use it as a speaker as well, but its the same exact driver as in that speaker siren.
