This studioversion is so brilliant, a live performance just won't do. But I am very thankful for the song - it is AMAZING and it's lovely to scream along with it.
He couldn't stand his own voice, he didn't like singing. When they started he was the only one who knew how to sing, so they kept on with that. Their new album has much better vocals, he has improved vastly.
im 13 and i love the police with Sting, the singers dad! Fiction Plane was one of the support bands along with Super Grass at the Police's last concert in london 2008 =]
I saw snoop and 311 last night at nissan,(worst fucking venue ever...) Fiction plane was good I don;t know what the fuck these other fools are talking about...had no idea it was stings son
I saw them late last year. Only three of them then, and boy, their hair had grown! xD It was hilarious though, because they were freaked out the roadies when they started climbing a pile of amps, and then proceeded to jump off! Anyways, they play a really good live, so if they ever pull up nearby, go and see 'em.
I just saw them last night. They toured with The Bravery. The show was insane! They were pretty good, the lead kept jumping off the amps like you said. Yeah, only three of em and the lead played bass. crazy
So lucky! The Bravery are so badass.....Do they play a good live? I am excited about seeing them during the Projekt Revolution tour. It is going to kick ass with The Bravery on the Main Stage! =D
I agree, Your Vegas had a way better performance that night, the lead had a broken foot and was hopping around onstage over wires and spilled beer and he never fell down.
Yes there is, they have left out all the "fuck"s. Dan Brown just coughs over it. It goes "fuck yourself and fuck your cigarettes, take your chances take your liberties.." Understandable though, 'cause isn't Fox a channel lots of really young kids watch?
i actually enjoyed the effing censorship... what are you some kind of "rebellion wannabee" who thinks it's soo "cool to say 'f*ck'? Big deal, anyone can say that. it takes someone with true character to choose not to. as for appearing "lame" that is just a matter of perspective. and your perspective, is well.. just plane "F**KED UP!" go figure.

i saw these guys in hershey right before The Police, the only thing that was better in Hershey was the back up singing..in this video he sucks. But their drummer is real good, and Stings bitch son is good too
Yeah, I saw these guys in Toronto last week and they were incredible. They've definitely grown up since this video was made. Their new album is incredible. I agree with prettyontheinside, he hits some notes his dad should be proud of. They're great.
I just noticed I mentioned Sting twice above, my point was to say that they were a great live act regardless of the family connection. I hope no one holds this against them, their music more than speaks for itself.
I just saw the police live in Vancouver last night, and these guys opened. I admit I didnt know what to expect, because of the connection to Sting HOWEVER they completely blew me away. Fantastic drummer, good guitarist, Joe has very strong voice( he hits high notes like sting did)but most of all songs themselves were awesome, well written, interesting yet catchy. They displayed a lot of talent and I would pay to see them in concert again. A really really great live show!! I am a total convert!
They'll come to Germany this year and I just spent two fuckin damn nights crying, cuz I cannot see them, cuz my dad and my mom are going to see them and they won't buy a card for me. The point is, I have no money for it...Life sucks *cries*
I really like this song and the lyrics are so great!! I laughed so bad when I heard them...
See I think this is where the breakdown occurs here. This is actually a bad recording of this song. The studio version is much better. As well, what turned me onto the band was actually seeing them in concert. I think the true charm of this song in particular is the lyrics. It's all about the singer of FP having to deal with being Sting's son.
What kind of idiot thinks that the mark of a good song is its ability to be played acoustically? That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard. You must be one of those people who thinks the acoustic Korn album was a good idea. Do your homework buddy, this FP song is 4 years old, and although it has a "green" sound, it's still a decent song.
I never heard of the band before. I take it you like this song. It's not my favourite. The song is drowned it until it sounds like another garageband. That's where a clean sound helps, it doesn't need to be acoustic. If they want an up tempo beat, they can do it well and get creative with that. I listened to the other songs posted by FP on youtube and think they can do better. Would you pick this song out of a dozen? I wouldn't, but agree that it's a descent song and a talented band.
Nope, wrong angle, not bad, but mediocre. They should rethink lyrics and melody line. Most of all, get a cleaner sound. There is to much clutter to make a lasting impression. If a song doesn't survive in a clean or acoustic version, it is usually no good. If it does survive, you can do anything with it.
