Im not saying americans are retarded (although they are haha), but this guy definetly IS retarded.
He said that honda put a 5 speed automatic transmision to save fuel. It's all there at 3:35. Really ? First of all automatic gearboxes are less fuel efficient than manual ones. Second of all a 6 or 7 speed gearbox is more fuel efficient than a 5 speed gearbox. So when it comes to saving gas, the worst gearbox your car can have is a 5 speed automatic transmision.
@letsplay14me The review is from 2007. In the mid-2000s most automatics (especially on trucks and 4WD vehicles) were 4 speeds. A 5-speed would have been a major fuel savings over the automatic 4-speed which previous SUV models had. Yes, manual is more fuel efficient, but not well suited to a 4WD SUV. No, 5 speed automatic is not the lest fuel efficient. A 4 speed automatic is. :)
It is the most misunderstood word in Automotive history. The word is "MADE" The Japanese want you to think that these cars are made in the USA. NOT TRUE they are assembled in the USA and parts are made in Asis and shipped here. Did you know that unemployment rate in Japan is 4% ? You Americans are putting your fellow Americans OUT OF WORK Time to wake up. Look at the USA content on the car. The Honda FIT is 90% Japanese made.

@uoyuoy444 okay they may be "assembled" here in the USA but who is ASSEMBLING these cars! not japanese, but AMERICANS!! and if Chevy, Ford, or Chrysler execs would get off their fat a**es then yes I would buy a TRUE AMERICAN VEHICLE, but for now I want a vehicle that will last 1 million miles or more! and the American car companies just cant do that yet
@uoyuoy444 actually if you go to a honda dealership and look at the sticker it says built in USA not Japan. If you dont want to go to a dealer just type in their website and look at the Cr-v and any vin # that begins with 1,4, or 5 is made in the USA why buy a Gm, Chrysler, or Ford vehicle anyway. Its their practices that cause them to close dealerships, close plants which caused thousands of people to lose their jobs. Japanese and Korean companies as far as i know have yet to close any plants.
I have to wonder what exactly is the point of one of these soft roaders? The idea is to be able to do light off road duty like going up and down steep hills, bush bashing and sand driving. But then again, an old Corolla could do just about as good as one of these. The All wheel drive system only starts sending drive back when the front wheels are already spinning, and by that time you're already sliding backwards. These things really don't have any good use. At least it's better than the Murano!
@launch4 drive a crv before you talk shit about it bcuz i own the first generation and its soo much better than a front wheel drive civic that i used to drive and the system is aloot more capable than you think, believe me i doubted it at first climbing steep grassy deep snow covered hills and couldnt believe it and the newer crv 4wd system is much more improved =p
since i can't give back my cr-v anymore to the HONDA cos they said they won't get it back..i just hope they will do their job and do something about it..
by the way, HONDA has a lot of good reviews but i hope they won't just tell me that "hey, u just bought a badly manufactured brand new suv..that happens and it just happen to be that unlucky YOU." ...Damnit..july 2009 will gonna be its 3rd year of ..im still not over this..i bought my cr-v unit in hard cash.. i don't deserve it..
Hi, If your air con smells a bit funny (almost like faint body odour) my friend reckons it's bacteria in the system. Tea tree oil or something similar (Eucalyptus oil would do). I don't know how you get it in the system--I don't know enough about air con systems and it's 1am here so I can't call my friend (!). Sold my car that had the problem before I could try it. Give it a try. Don't know if it will invalidate warranty BUT the Japanese use Tea Tree to kill Legionnaires disease in office a/c
nice. But really people don't buys these cars for performance. It's really to haul the family about and their stuff. It has good performance and good fuel economy.
Yes,they focus on fuel economy which is what we american consumers a looking foward to,To me the new redesigned CR-V not only looks great but handling is vry nice,166HP is more than enough for small SUV like this
A lot of people like to downplay the CR-V's power and capabilities as being "weak." Heck, I even did until I test drove one when my parents were shopping. I loved it. Now I have a CR-V of my own.

Hey, congrats on the new CR-V !!
I did not have an opportunity to test drive a CR-V because the salesman was busy with another customer.
By the time I left the dealership, I went to the Toyota dealership where I test drove the Rav 4 (which is what I wound up buying).
While both vehicles are very similar in style and design, both are unique and offer their own special features.

I only visited a Honda dealership once.
I was unable to test drive a CR-V because the salesman was busy with another customer, but I was able to test the radio.
Unfortunately, the sound quality of the radio was not as impressive as the one I tested on the Rav 4 from a nearby Toyota dealership.
If the CR-V is your choice, you might want to opt for the stereo upgrade to get a better sound.
newyorkfish 3 years ago
Toyotas have bad sound sytems. They pay JBL to slap on some logos to the eco box radio.

you can't be serious, you mean for all otehr occupants

You never tried being an occupant outside a vehicle? It's a good time man.
