I have seen many bush pilots pulling off some spectactular landing and takoffs, and these three I just watched were right up there with the best. GPS and all the other improvements in technology help, but in the end it all comes down to the "carbon circuit" beween the left seat and the yoke. No two ways about it. Stay safe.
I was going to ask if you had to have special seats installed for ergonomics. It bust be difficult being comfortable in ordinary seats with BALLS that big! You, sir, are an amazing accomplished aviator. As a fellow pilot, I think there are tons of us who live vicariously through you and your achievements. Thanks for your kindnesses by not only excelleing at what you do but sharing your little slice of heaven with us on YouTube. Regards.
The turbo porter's unique short take-off and landing (STOL) capabilities, reliability and versatility in all weather and terrain conditions have established the reputation of the PC-6 as a rugged utility aircraft.
Hi jalary001. Thanks so much for your comment. I've worked in Canada for several years and always loved the bush flying there!! About the flying here, I can't take all the credit, it's the Porter that desirves that. What an incredible machine!! I think, well, no, I know, the Porter is the best Bush Aircraft ever ( and I know, you as a Canadian will argue with me that the DeHavilland big three are the best). I love this aircraft.
I've got to tell you, I never do comments on Youtube, but your videos are just awesome!! As a pilot myself in Canada ..I've got to tell you, you have balls ...and your touch downs are just perfect! You're a flying artist!!!!! Stay sharp ;) ( I't would be fantastic to ear the engine while u approch and everything ...but still MORE than a GOOD job!!)
Awesome job !! .. thanks for sharing .. the approach into Dadou made me stop breathing for a moment. I suppose it is all GPS NAV into those remote strips and lots of local knowledge ?. Fly safe and take care !!. Greetings.
Hay there, thank you so much. You're right, the main means of nav is the GPS. Local knowledge, especially the weather is very important. Some strips, even though the general weather is good, close due to restrictive winds. Thanks again and same to you, safe flying.
Thank you so much. You're right, the GPS is the main means of nav, but local knowledge, especially the weather is just as important. Lots of time, strips close due to restrictive winds, even though the general weather is fine. Thanks again, and take care
Hey, thanks and sorry for the long wait. I tried this thing before, but for some reason it never worked. Check out our website and send them your resume. As far as I know, Susi's hiring. Most Pilots fly out of Jakarta, Medan or Balikpapan and are on Caravans. The flying is fantastic and Susi Air is a great Company to fly for. As I said, drop them your CV and good luck.
Im in singapore right now, going to Aus. for a CPL. Would love to fly with you guys in papua when im done. Hope to go into this kind of aviation.

Brilliant---absolutely brilliant!!!! What a wonderful choice of music as well.
I fly a PA-12. The Porter seems the size of a DC-3 in comparison! Best wishes.
Please post some more vids.
