a supercar like the tempesta would probably have 6 or 7,but its pretty ridiculous that the shifting is infinite, the SI-7 is a good car if you wanna see it for yourself,its not that fast and it just keeps shifting

I actually can't get myself to play this game for this very reason. It may be something that most people can ignore, or push to the back of their minds while driving. But I've played too many other racing games where shifting is a conscious thing that you have to be aware of for me to ignore it in this game. First 2 minutes of gameplay and it's the FIRST thing I noticed. I had my first car go through 34 gears before I slowed down. It's much more noticeable in slower cars. What a joke.

Burnout 1 & 2 actually started with the option to choose AT or MT.
In others, you could hear the gears up to 5 - 6.
This is the first one, (Paradise) where they did this with the gear sound.
Problably reason = Sound Varity
Like some devlp. makes shitty adjustments to the gameplay, to make it more enjoyable. In this case, it must have been the sound effects.
The game is too perfect, to let this annoy me.

@NateN34 Haha! Play Burnout Revenge on X360. It doesn't sound that way with the shifting.
But on the other hand, the nitro boost sound like a take off from a F-22 Jet.

Believe it or not, this is the reason why I stopped playing this game. This annoys me to no end.

this game is one of the best games in gaming history as far as physics, longitivitiy and communication and support online... you should try it .
