  • we get roughly 200-300 calls a year not as must as scotia when the have about 1330something right now

  • nice and im in Providence Volunteer Fire Dept. its about 20 mins from amsterdam we have 4 rigs and no hydrants up here lol we cover part of sacandaga and the other small loakes around us

  • @SuperScotty2Hottie yeah i know where that is, i used to visit my cousin in Amsterdam and always see your little station near the highway on the way there. how many calls would you say you guys get a year?

  • the trucks in the bay are very nice i got to go check em out today cuz my unlce is the luitenant in the department and im a volunteer about 20 mins up the road so i get the cool connections

  • @SuperScotty2Hottie what department? Glenville Hill or Thomas Corners? anyways the trucks are awesome! my favorite is truck 204, it rides really nice and is so comfortable. we had a live burn drill today at the Rotterdam training tower and i went in truck 204, pretty fun time, covered in soot when doing overhaul though, still smell like it even though i took a shower. I'm only an explorer but i still get to help out and shit, sometimes i hang out at the station with the career guys, its fun.

  • That station is too small. They need to make that house bigger.

  • @wannabenj we have been trying to get a new house since i think 1993, which was the same year we got engine 201 replaced to a Pierce Arrow. In Scotia there isnt many places that have enough room for the station we need, and the rigs you see here aren't all the rigs, we also have a boat/trailer and a utility, which we would like in the station too. It will be atleast 5 to 10 years 'til we even get the grant for the station.

  • I can't believe he blew the airhorn while still in the station, that had to be extra loud! I realize he probably was doing it to clear the intersection but he could've waited until he got it out of the station, especially since there were fire fighters standing in the station.

  • @arohn2007 actually, the explorer post was having a meeting and the box went off, so i went across the street to film and the other 3 explorers were on the corner nearest to the station, so the driver who is one of the Explorer post instructors decided to use the air horn. i though it was awesome, but the others well.. not so much.

  • @LCEUclan They were close to the truck, thats why they didn't like it. I don't blame them. Besides its just common sense not to blast a air horn or even turn on the siren while the truck is still in the station, especially if there is others standing near the truck. It doesn't matter that the door is open, the walls will still echo the sound. Thats just my two cents

  • I recognize this whole area in Scotia. This is at the corner of Mohawk Ave. & Timbrook. I live just a few block away from here.

  • @atzigmund Hey asshole, for 1 thing, it was a false alarm, second, you must be blind because the second truck out was a tower, and lastly the alarm was at the middle school gym where, if it were on fire, everyone could have gotten out.

  • Man that is a tight squeeze fire department..... great video

  • @wildwx99 yeah, but its still a nice station

  • @LCEUclan Ya i was just amazed they fit all them trucks in there..

  • @wildwx99 Its not easy, when ever we have to get engine202 in or out of the station, it takes around 4 minutes.

  • Nice Video!
