@bbeas40165 A whip in horse training is a method of communication, and when you're not actually on the horse, it's the only way to physical communicate forward motion. This type of whip does NOT actually hurt the horse. If you take a close look at this type of whip, it has a 4" long bit of string at the end called a "popper". The popper snaps in the air, which is what makes the cracking noise. It hurts about as much as it hurts to be flicked by a piece of string. Which is to say, not at all.

yeah i agree, many stallions at my facility are expensive because not only are the beautiful, can jump high, but have amazing scope and have great dispositions. But if he is only a breeding stallion, i know many stallions that try to kill any rider that tried to get on them because people were so worried about 'breaking' the horse (literally) that when we could no longer stud, was attempted to be ridden, and proved he didn't wanna haha. if that makes sense, sorry its late and im tired haha

he looks like he's sucking back over the last jump, rather than tucking his knees up and out and engaging his back. If he isn't taught to correct that, which he might not learn since his natural ability is weak, he could be dangerous going over bigger jumps. He runs a high risk of catching the rail with his front legs and flipping. If he doesn't flip he'll take down or rub the rail which will cost him in the show ring. That height is outside his scope. He might be better for the 3'6" stuff.

We are delighted to announce that Holme Park Legend has passed his 70 day test with flying colours. The pass mark for achieving the required level for the Trakehner Verband is a Gesamtindex of 85 and we were thrilled when Legend was awarded a score of 106,53 which was 7th out of the 27 horses!. His dressage index was 101,13 and jumping index 107,80. This result shows he has a good ability in all disciplines but definitely loves the jumping. Loose jumping he scored 9 ability, 9.5 for Style

Legend is now competing in eventing. Yes he will be used for breeding and he has just passed as a graded stallion recently. if your wondering how i know, i visit holme park alot and i know the owners :) hes a lovely horse x
