im gettin so tired of "i prefer the ferrari" ok we've heard it a thousand times. ferrari's are slightly better performance/race wise, but when it comes down to falling in love with a legendary vehicle, the stats don't fuckin matter. lambos are godlike and i'll take one over a ferrari any day.

okay what is it with the crew on 5th gear? 1st we have Jason here who has no idea how to say Gallardo !!! GAL now in my school days it sounded just how its spelt where did the GEE come in ? and Vicky haha Hun i love you to bits but its Murcielago.. ptts go to the Top Gear site they know how to pronounce words lol
The truth is that that 95% of Gallardo owners, shouldn't turn of EPS ! Being rich doesn't make you a good driver. However, I think that guy that wants to commit a suicide in his Lamborghini (what a way to die :) ) should be able to turn it off, completely. I'm sure his heirs would be grateful for that option :P
@raphael2000 I was lucky enough to drive one, And I turned it off. Very very fun with it off. Almost, cant drive it with it once you turn it off for the first time.
@raphael2000 even if u press the ESP button, it just wont turn off COMPLETELY... i test drove one of these a year ago and i just CAN'T powerslide the f***ing thing...
it cant do wat i want it to do, its not like the 430, the esp wont turn off, the 430s so much better. shut the f... up u stupid son of b.... its not the cars faut u cant drive for s... he nows it better
Oh so you're saying that you can't make a spin with a 4WD car?
Wow, just because it's harder doesn't mean it can't be done. And trust me, there are a LOT of 4WD cars that spin on 3rd gear, it has all to do with the way the LSD is configured. But hey, I trust the guys at Sant'Agata :p
But I trust the guys with an italian horse bagde too :)
It would if it was a RWD car or MRD car.The F430 everyone's talking about in these comments would spin if he had the Mannetino in the CST position or perhaps even in race.I guess that the Gallardo won't turn it's TC completely to prevent that and the F430 is for the ones who want to be on the knife edge. But don't get me wrong,I love Lambo's and Ferrari's but I think that the tradition behind them influence the philosophy of how these cars behave.Which is good because this way, they are unique.

The traction control system they got from Audi is just far too strong from the car to show it's real behaviour. The traction control would be much better if they had the option of full on, half off, and full off.
The Launch Control just makes every Ferrari a great car, it's the best launch, Traction control just controls the wheel spin too much and make it have a bad start.
what a dumb ass this fool is,we've seen 100s of others overesteering the se or gallardo.he just hates the gallardo.biased idiot.can't even do it properly
what is the point in the Gallardo SE if they have the Superleggera . I know they didnt have it when they did this report but Lamborghini had plans for the Superleggera when they put the Gallardo but didnt produce it until they found out if the gallardo was a big seller
The 2 tone color is nice. It must be annoying for Ferrari and Lambo customers to buy the most advanced supercar there is but by the time it gets delivered, a slightly better model comes out and makes you feel like you're not the most exclusive driver on the road again.
The Superleggera has a a lot of carbon fiber and are therefore nearly 300 pound lighter, and it has 10 bhp more. It also has lower gear ratio, and goes from 0-62 in 3.8, compared to the SE who does it in 4.0.
The SE was only built in 250 examples, but is just as fast and powerful as a base Gallardo 06/07. The only difference between them, is that the SE is black on the engine roof, and the interior has more of the exterior color, instead of black.
The correct way to pronounce Gallardo is to pronounce -llar- as in English for a "jar". GA JAR DO... Spanish is my first language and I did owned a Gallardo by the way.
you're probably right, in the sense its pronounced "GAY-ARDO"...but i still dont like the way he pronounces it...he's too british to be driving and commentating on an italion car.

At 5:26, if the ESP was fully off, he would have made a spin. He says the traction control is annoying but it probably saved him there.

the Leggera is a stripped out race track version. Like the Ferrari 430 Scuderia of the Porsche GT3 RS

what? and they charge 13k more just for some paint?
Konig1985 4 years ago
an MY06/07 has also 520bhp , so the only difference is in the gear ratios and the exterior
dbLP640 5 years ago
what is the deffirence between the gallardoSE and a normal gallardo?
xfarisx 5 years ago
20+ bhp and lower gear ratios which allow it to accelerate quicker.
