  • Gary brooker es tan sexy....y en italiano más aún.

  • WONDERFUL...WONDERFUL......MAGNIFICO , INCREDIBILMENTE MAGNIFICO

  • A rare Italian version of Shine On Brightly sung in Italian by Gary Brooker (from 1967) which oddly only appeared on the rare Italian edition of PROCOL HARUM. The album with the Pink & White cover (until 2010). And as an Italian only 45. Italian publishing Royalties were vast compared to those in the UK. Robin Trower's guitar cries out a morse code-like of riff of urgency as counterpoint to Matthew Fisher's magnificent Hammond organ work, B J Wilson's metronomic percussion, and Brooker's piano.

  • may i ask, since i do not know much of italian language, do the words here or the whole song still remains the same as the english version? I mean, for instance, " my befuddled brain shines on brightly quite insane".. do these words are still in the italian version here?

  • @substitute91 no, the lyrics here have a completely different meaning. For example the line you mentioned is translated here as something like "your diamond will shine on, but your heart will reamain cold"

  • perfecto!

  • My new favorite 40-year-old song! (though I 'spose questa versione italiana is a bit younger.) Any idea who is responsible for the Italian lyrics?

  • @art2liv4

It was Mogol, a major italian song writer at that time
