I would like to see a video about the CFR Rule-Book and all the laws that are in it. It would be nice to listen to that everyday and know everything by heart. Truckers have to know their rights when the Law Trys to take them away when and if the trucker is stopped.

If the Air-Tanks aren't emptied for along time the water will build up too where there won't be enough air to stop more than once and the air-compressor will ware out faster.

Thanks a lot for this video, pretty soon I'm going to be taking the test for the CDL permit, and this really puts together what I've been reading.. The material is a little dry and hard to follow at times so this makes it much easier.

Can anyone please tell me what the 6 part airbrake test consist of for california i know its governor cut-in, and governor cut-out, 4-60 applied test,low air warning device but i cant remember what the other two are.Any help will be appriciated.

@mrdre5 You take 1.Pre trip and air break test. 2. Skills test. 3. Road Test all on the same day, but lets say you pass #1 and then fail#2 you dont need to do #1 again on your second try. You need to pass 1 and 2 to do the Road test

@mrdre5 It depends on the DMV & the time frame on test that day. I took the ir brakes & inspection on the first day. The road exam two days later.

when taking you driving test you will do 1 pre- trip inspection, this includes the inside of the cab. 2 you must do the air break test and finaly 3. the road test and obsticle coarse test. if you fail step 1 you are done and must test another day. if you fail part 2. or part 3 then you are done on that day...if you have scored 80% or better on part 1 the first time you do not have to do it again. but u must do part 2 everytime and score 100%
