As a general rule of thumb, the OLDEST person is always looked to as the leader. In a music band, typically the SINGER is considered the leader. However, in this case, Kyo is not the oldest, Kaoru is. Dir en grey don't seem particularly rigid (they strike me as pretty good friends, actually) when it comes to who's boss. They apparently discussed who was going to be the leader of the band and Kaoru took the position because nobody else stepped up.

Kaoru is the leader of Dir en grey and being leader he most likely holds the duty of talking in most interviews. He is also LEAD guitar and Die is RHYTHM guitar. And I suppose Toshiya is always with Kaoru because he talks more than Kyo, Shinya and perhaps Die.

Since it was back in Feb. I just asked about MOAB (now that I think about it, it was a stupid question lol). It was bugging me to no end how they got an entire album finished with all the touring.

So he was just like "We're always writing even when we're on tour. When we're on the tour bus we're writing music and coming up with new things..." and I kinda forget the rest, but he did talk..a lot. I was surpressing a grin the entire time lol.

I think it's nice the way it's balance between Kyo's screaming and singing. Songs like "The Fatal Believer" or "Agitated Screams of Maggots" versus songs like "The Plege" and "Conceived Sorrow" I really like the diversity of the songs. It's really nice.
