@msxeno That's why I rarely read critics reviews any more. People would have to pry my cold dead hands to take my Field Day CD. I think it is THAT good.
@pretorious700 - Much of my favorite music, which I'd claim is equal the quality of anything that was made before or after, was made during the 80s. To name only a handful: Minutemen, The Replacements, Talking Heads, Hüsker Dü, Public Enemy, Prince, Henry Threadgill's Sextet, David Murray, Persian Gulf, Mission Of Burma, The Mekons, X, Eric B & Rakim, Bad Brains, The Blasters, The HousemartIns ... I could go on for ages. My recommedation: don't spout the biased misinformation. Go dig for gold!
@pretorious700 This is true. However, many of the claims about the 80s comes from writers who grew up during the 60s and couldn't keep up with the increased amount of music being put out during the latter 70s and throughout the 80s, and the followers of those believing that the 80s was only Stock, Aitken & Waterman & MTV etc. Things couldn't be further from the truth, hence my use of the term. If Marshall is truly only one of your few bright spots, fair enough. For me he was one of a great many.
Excellent! (I hated how critics at the time bagged on this album. I love pretty much everything about it.) <3

This is a brilliant song, and the band rocked it- the Crenshaw brothers kicking butt.

I remember this show. I also recall a show at The Stone Pony where he did a cover of I can See For Miles and I'm not Your Stepping Stone.
