  • It's too bad that Metropolis was not a hit when it first came out. The German people really depended on it to boost their economy. When it didn't, Hitler came into power. You're watching a lot of future Nazis in this video.

  • Wow! Excellent!

  • 0:30 has an Aimee Semple MacPherson vibe going on. (look her up kiddies)

  • 2:07 is he wearing clogs?

  • Fritz Lang's imagery lives on in Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and many others where it is necessary that the architecture is a leading star. The Moroder version with its Rock soundtrack is something Lang would have been proud of. The difficulty is getting a copy of this film.

  • Brigitte Helm was a stunner.

  • You made such a great restoration. I was not very sure about the Moroder version, i just love very much the original but your deserves a clap! Congratulations.

  • this movie was a anti Communism flim out of Poland and was all but wiped out but the truth of freedom can not be .

  • I think I saw that same look on the Duchess of Cambridge's face yesterday at 2:01.

  • parece lady gaga

  • wow! a great movie better that of today =)

  • been looking for this forever! Nice to relive the 80's all over again!

  • Just GREAT! :)

  • My favourite clip from this movie - thanks for uploading!

  • All time. I first heard this song about when the Moroder version came out (1985-ish), and never seemed to get it out of my head. Watched the Moroder film last night and I'm HOOKED AGAIN!!

  • Yes, I too congratulate you on a superb contribution to the Moroder version of the Fritz Lang classic. For me, this is YouTube at its finest. Thank you for uploading this.

  • w0w this is a wonderful contribution to the Metropolis concept,

Congtatulations!! many thanks for sharing your version with us, this is brilliant... :o)

  • Very very well done.

  • Ditto with the comments. Burgeois, I have seen this film, in its original and the 80's version you reference from, and you did an awesome job with editing and adding effects. Really outstanding.

  • this picture come like this, all the picture came with songs, the soundtrack productions was made by Giorgio Moroder

  • This YouTube version was edited and color tinted by me. The original "Giorgio Moroder" version uses it's own 'color tint' which is different than mine. You are right that Giorgio Moroder is the artist of the music.

  • amazing.

  • Good stuff. Is that a Bonnie Tyler song?

  • Thanks. Yes, that's the Bonnie Tyler song.

  • i really like it - it's so cool
