  • I recorded this whole show on VHS when it aired. They were actually opening for Ozzy on the show. Freaking classic now! I was going into my freshman year that summer, and got this on LP.

  • Ratt sounded great before Stephen discovered Jack Daniels.

  • Juan rocks more than Robin and Warren!!!!

  • RATT KICK ASS ;-)

  • Sweet dual lead! Motherfuckers of today don't know how to rock anymore.

  • I wish guys still wore there hair like this!! Effing hot!!

  • RATT FUCKI NG ROCKK!!!!

  • Le son est vraiment excellent pour du "vrai" Live !

  • what was the singer thinking when he put that outfit on.......lmfao

  • @chelseafnmi: Just what I thought. For the last 20 years I did little else than play guitar or listen to bands with great guitar players and today is the first time I heard the name Warren DeMartini. But this guy is really good! It seldom gets better than that - definitely underrated.

  • Warren is one of the most underated guitar players ever!

  • did alot of these bands wear wigs cuz me and my friends tried growing our hair out like that and it didn't work out well for us who didn't have SUPER thick hair and I wouldn't believe that ALL of these hair metal bands had super thick hair.

  • @angusyounghero two words: Hair Spray

  • @angusyounghero It's called Aqua Net! and in many cases extensions and weaves.

  • @angusyounghero --yup, what the posters above said.

Honestly, I'm not surprised we have a hole in the ozone layer with all the Aquanet the hair bands and groupies used in the 80s. Dude, that decade was NUCKING FUTZ with the hairspray, spandex, sequins, dayglo, perms, leopard prints....I could go on.

  • @MrJeronimofo...Not his best vocal performance, but it's not that bad. Solo sounds good. Those are tall boots he's got on. I'd give em a B+ for this overall performance compared to the studio.

  • Lead vocals are kinda rough..argh. Is he wearing leg warmers?

  • all i can add is i was in high school when this came out and i love my life now doing fine. But there still isent a day when i dont wish the date was 1984 .

  • Love this! I wish I was old enough to listen to Ratt in the 80's haha

  • I saw these guys in '85 with Bon Jovi as an opening band. GREAT show. RIP Robin Crosby...

  • @heritage80elite Saw the same show in Roanoke, VA

  • Why is people saying glam bands dumbasses the 80s was big hair bands not glam bands wtf get it right

  • They always put on a great show back then! Good Times! Thanks for the up.

  • juan croucier sings better than stephen pearcy!

  • @impossiball I agree with that!

  • 2:53 the best part

  • There are heaps of modern glam bands. Check out Crashdiet, Vains Of Jenna, Steel Panther

  • anyone know this concert eh just seen 4 videos of this concert they played more songs or just the ones that are on youtube? ?¿?

  • Ratt is the best!

  • fuck man robin was the best, such a loss r.i.p man

  • A bunch of guys dressed like girls playing very stupid music...

  • @cirax93 it was the stiyle back then like nowadays people have american egile and such and such. it was the 80s.. and that lasted longer then 2 years like most bands last now adays.

  • @cirax93 you mean the same as you have on your favorites like wasp and ozzy and sabbath. I prefer this image and this music than what we have now the same blend boring stuff. so stfu

  • Warren demartini & robbin crosby great guitarristas

  • i never been to a rock concert :( i probably would of gone to the judas priest / white snake concert that was at jacksonville amp about 1-2 ago...

  • @NerdForMIT it was awesome i got to see it in pittsburgh pa.

  • This is a true classic, still rocking and allways will!

  • Lets face it.... this is when ROCK had HEART!

  • My first rock concert was RATT with Bon Jovi opening in 1985 - Kansas City, MO! Miss those mega rock shows. Dito Flickerstruck...25 years went by too damn fast.

  • I agree. But there is surely 80 'in us.

  • i was supposed to see them open for billy Squire at nassau colliseum in but cancelled show due to labor dispuit, molley hatchet opened a month later, ughhh...

  • Ratt and Momma's boys, my first concert 1983......Danville Illinois!!

  • Looks like Juan is trying to swipe some of ex-member Jake E. Lee's cool moves. Sorry, but no one is as smooth as Jake. Be you get an "A" for trying.

  • now my idol is Warren Dmartini, I like his movements Juan croucier is super crazy cool best robby 1:05

  • I still have this on video tape. I'm pretty sure there's no audience. Just pit videographers. The cheering was overdubbed.

  • @tdolz

nah its not an official music video, this one is live.

they only use pit videographers if it is the actual music vid.

this version of the song is very much live.

they use noise gate so that way you dont here unnessecary crowd sounds during the actual song.

  • they sound so great here. pearcy's vox are perfect, great harmonys. i love this band, yes i am old! just started listening to this stuff again, i cant help it!

  • Juan Croucier is waaaaaay too annoying to watch.

  • In 1987 I saw Ratt and Poison (with Poison opening), and they were awesome!

  • @trufflesrheaven -- I saw that tour too! It was great! Saw them in Maryland.

  • Love this new RATT lineup But I isist Glam should Re-Invent itself, there should be New younger bands with attitude skills and Real looks (Meaning Long Hair , Leather pants& jackets ,cowboy Boots you get the point?-picture early Guns or Faster pussycat!)) that could come out a do this type of Music with Rage and Power for the new millenuim.

  • @CHURINFUNFLAIS

There are a lot of fuckin posers walking around, but there are people who dress like that and bands trying (and failing) to be the "next Motley Crue". I've got long hair, I wear eyeliner, I've got cowboy boots, it's okay I guess.

  • @CHURINFUNFLAIS. Dude check out the New Wave Of Traditional Heavy Metal. It's not glam, but still kickass and 80's as fuck. More Maiden and Priest-ish stuff rather than stuff like Ratt or Crue, but still fucking amazing.

  • @CHURINFUNFLAIS sounds pretty fucking gay.

  • @Steve92crue Check out the snoop dog section. PS pull up your pants.

  • @CHURINFUNFLAIS that is my dream. i have longed for that every day since i was 13. if it ever comes true, my life will be perfect \m/

  • @CHURINFUNFLAIS I love jammin to this kind of stuff with my band! I think we probably could sport the leather and attitude and rock, though the hairspray/perms etc would have to go xD

  • DeMartini is a friggin monster.

  • I officially feel old but damn, I still love Ratt :)

  • Croucier really is the star here. hope he'd stayed in Dokken that kicked more ass

  • MOTLEY CRUEEEE

  • MOTLEY CRUEEEE

  • Pearcy not in his best voice here. DeMartini and Crosby sound tight though.

  • someon here has a time machine?? men i miss those days !

  • My brother in law was a big Ratt fan when he was about 13 or so. So me and his mother brought him to his first concert, yes RATT out of the cellar tour. Was a great show...

  • Ratt in their prime -- they were truly firing on all cylinders. Robbin Crosby really anchored the sound with those classic riffs. It's all the more reason he'll be sorely missed.

  • @6672rock -- Was it just the 80s, or does the guitar style sound very Van Halen-esque? I'm a musician but don't know electric guitar, and would be interested in hearing more from an aficionado.

  • @thegrammarfairy Typical 80's metal band philosophy: Rhythyms like KISS, solos like Van Halen and vocals like ACDC. It was an era which produced the best music ever!!!

  • @thezill69 rhythym like KISS? vocals like ACDC? lol xD

  • @thezill69 vocals acdc?? No no does vince neil sound like bon scott? No. Bret Michaels? Nahhh...Cinderella nahh not really...80's had their own vocals!

  • @thezill69 true, hair metal, classic hard rock, AOR it was the real generation for music

  • @thegrammarfairy Yes......major Van Halen influence here. Warren plays a Charvel strat set up just like Eddie. Warren was a great player..........great band too

  • @paxtoncampbell what do you mean was? he still is a great player!

  • @Flickerstruck Tell me about it guy......It seems like just yesterday that I saw this on MTV for the first time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rest in peace , Robbin !

  • I've always wanted that crossed swords guitar. Way cool.

  • the youth of today have no idea what rock is. And its so sad. They make fun of 80s Rock, but its because they truley have no idea what it was like back then. Shit, I barely know what it was like!!! Being that Im only 30!!! But I remember all of these bands, seeing their videos on MTV {unlike the crap MTV shows today}.

And I cant wait to see RATT next week! My friends and I even have backstage passes!

  • man that's no lie

  • кусаю локти и пис*юсь кипятком )). Ratt - моя офигенно любимая группа!!!

  • Song Of The Week #2 Ratt – Round and Round

    eghts.com/blog/2010/06/22/song-of-the-week-2-ratt-round-and-round/

  • Saw them in '85. They're all cool but Stephen Pearcy is still one of the coolest front men to walk.

  • Saw them in '85. They're all cool but Stephen Pearcy is still one of the coolest rock dudes to walk.

  • The guitar solo is amazing!

  • @hantsu4 it's better on the album. the lead guitarist over did it in this permormance in my opinion.

  • I seen them last summer and they just are not good at all live.

As you can tell by this.

He is so out of key on the vocals it ain't funny.

Plus one of the guitars is out of tune.

  • Yeah!!! Never stop on ROCKIN'! Rock On!!!

  • voice sounds like dave mustaine

  • @kissforever94 i don't know why i've never noticed it before,but you're right.

  • SUPPORT HEAVY METAL!

  • Are there more Videos of Ratt from this performance....The Rock Palace 1983?...the quality is very good .

  • Yeah bitch

  • LOL, Juan cracks me up with his choreographed stage movements. Steven used to call the one move where he goes around in a circle type motion, the 'helicopter.' But you know, its cool for him. Anyone else...maybe not so much. hehe. Look at Robbin's guitar! <3 <3 <3 I love love love the King V. Mmm, I can't decide...which is yummier...the guitar or the man playing it...Definately ROBBIN!

  • I wasnt Even thought of until 1987...this rules..i wish new stuff would sound this great..Time you MTV and Much Music had to Ruin Music and show Generations Tradey Shit!!

  • absolutly the best

  • WHY IS STEPHEN PEARCY SO ATTRACTIVE TO ME? He isnt all that cute! is it because he's such a great singer? OMG he is so ew but he is so frickin sexy! in the official round and round video he does this kick OMG it is so sexy!

  • Love the start, definitely an awesome live performance. Stephen's vocals are spot on and ditto with Juan's backups.

One of the rare occasions where the performance beats the actual album recording, shame there isn't a better quality version sound-wise.

  • A great song but as usual (and I mean over the years) we gotta listen to this song

while its all out of tune. One of these days Im gonna get to hear this song

played live by some body. Guess thats what yoa get Ratt for putting this original on your Cd and Album tuned down a half fret or what ever ya want to call it. Was it worth it. You jenxed the song I guess.

  • omfg i looovee RATT and robbin, my love♥ i wish i was around back then...i wish i could have known him to have saved him..he died when i was like 6 years old..2002..rip beautiful, fly to the angles and rock heaven♥

  • miss you Robbin Crosby may you Rest In Peace my fallen brother !! csc/10

  • I was there. Where did the years go???

  • How could juan not be a fag?

  • thrash til deat, this pansy fuck off

  • They fucked more girls than you will ever do xD ... and I also guess more than slayer ^^

  • @motorcrossguy94 haha youre so typical, btw there are way better thrash bands like Slayer.

    Go fuck yourself.

  • Well, I know there are better thrash bands then Slayer, in fact my favourite band is Megadeth. I just hate the glam scene, not because the music because I do like some songs but I hate the way they dress. They look like a bunch of gays...LMAO!! a bunch of pussies, prob like you so you go fuck yourself!!

  • @motorcrossguy94 Slayer had leather Suits on in there early days, thats gay.

No offense to slayer but the only good albums they released where Show no mercy and hell awaits.

Same for megadeth the only 5 albums where good and some songs of youthanasia.

Haha youre a bastard mainstream thrash metal fan.

  • @motorcrossguy94 if you wasn't growing up in the 1980's you would never know who the hell Slayer is or was !!! csc/10

  • @Flickerstruck

Yep. Tried to see Ratt/Motley Cure/Helix but parents weren't having it. Did end up seeing them at just as good a show in Beaumont, TX: w/Ratt/Poison/Cheap Trick.. Old....yes indeed.

  • @dstrains Saw them all in the 80's. Helix played for 50 audience in Finland. Awesome. No telling from a stadium show. Brian Vollmer sings Dokken or Steven to the gutter. If from TX why not Galactic Cowboys, KIng's X etc. On yer own backyard.

  • @Flickerstruck got old here too, where did the time go?

  • @Flickerstruck Yea, I seen these guys on their first tour opening for Billy Squir, summer of "84".....Someone build a time machine please.................

  • @Flickerstruck You are still young on the inside when you hear this!

  • I was never into Ratt but this song is amazing!!!!

  • silly hockey pucks

  • i fuckin hate these 15 teen years old pucks who dads were looking at their first porno mag jacking off when ratt ruled the world of metal little puck ass bitchs long live the ratt pack..

  • @amelbo I am 14, but I think Warren is a god

  • @Guitarchordhelper Actualy, he is a human, but he does shred on guitar.

I saw him live with RATT.

  • They bought that drum riser from Motley Crue.

  • Can you imagen how old they are now! Bald headed and gimpy! IN fact I think this song is in the oldies catagory now isn't it!

    But Gotta Love It!

  • i will never ever get tired of this.

its better than a lot of the sh** they play on the radio nowadays...

  • @shelbyatthediscoo everything is thats a little older is better then the shit they play today

  • @shelbyatthediscoo thank you

  • @shelbyatthediscoo It's better than ALL of the shit out these days.

  • thats a given

  • @shelbyatthediscoo oh you think ?

  • it's like a rainbow in the dark!

  • shut up

  • Awesome video! thanks for posting! great tune. Old memories bigtime! That was the big hair days then now I have no hair lmfao!

  • Damn Warren is a great guitarist. I had traded amps with him in 81 in San Diego. I used that JCM800 for years.

  • Here's a mind trip. I saw Ratt as a headlining band. Their opener? Bon Jovi. No lie. First time I saw them Ratt opened for Billy Squier. And back in the day, their outfits looked normal to us.

  • me too brother. greensboro NC, they blew billy squier's ass away.

  • Ratt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i'm 14 and my dad raised me listening to ratt, cinderella, and guns n roses. i do believe i've been raised well(:

  • same here :) :)

  • I miss those days! The 80s were aweome!

  • RATT-N-ROLL!!!

  • Fucken Traitor,a big thumbs down

  • LOL, how about my 12" thumb up your ass?.

  • idiot

  • seen ratt in the out of the cellar tour at the hollywood sportatorium . 93 or 94 i believe. always loved warrens style and speed . now im into heavier stuff but at the time , it was crue, dokken, ratt, dio, maiden, priest and ozzy. good days, great music,.

  • Our grandparents were, the good old days were the best.lol Rock on dude!

  • last time I saw them was in 86

  • I learned alot about progression scales from the song Wanted Man Great lesson !

  • I LOVE THE SOLO

  • LOL @ 1:40. Ratt was a great band. Warren one of the best.

  • I' going to see them in 2010. I'm listening to all the albums right now.

  • Leather pants NEVER go out of style.

    Stephen has great vocals/moves

  • In my opinion I think Robbin Crosby was a better guitar player !!! CSC/09 in Lynchburg V.A. (U.S.A.)

  • he was more blues, where warren was more eddie van halen metal.

  • Interesting opinion... back in the day I would ask you to put down the crack pipe...But I can understand the different styles now in my older age... Rock on, Ratt & Roll...

  • Damn, I thought they still sounded pretty good till I heard this--Really nice.

  • That is how it's done. Not many bands sound this good. Alround kick ass. Thanks for posting, otherwise we wouldn't be able to taste this. Love the backing vocals & tasy solos and not to mention the great vocals. Ratt Rocks, one of my favourite songs.

  • Jack Blades ? R U Fuckin Retarded?

  • ilu bitch

  • Thanx 4 the memories! If I get lucky I might be able to see Ratt live by next year for the first time ever...Though they ever played Paris-France but last time must have been 91' . But money was as tight then as Detonator was poorly-convincing, so just missed my turn ;-) maybe should'nt have...

  • Gah, I LOVE it!!! :D

  • Who's playing the bass? Is it Jack Blades?

  • Nope that's Juan Croucier

  • no, it's Juan Croucier. Jack Blades was in Night Ranger, lol.

  • @SlotraceDK Jack Blades is from Night Ranger, not Ratt. Both awesome bands.

  • what come's a round go's around !!! csc/09
