As far as I'm concerned Paul opened Pandora's box. Despite poor media coverage he pointed out the 8 ton elephant in the room that nobody wanted to talk about. I predict he'll have an even bigger impact after the presidential race when he has more freedom/coverage to give speeches like this.

I love the way Ron Paul forgets our sound-bite culture and explains how what aren't obvious big threats like the Iraq Liberation Act, ignored, lead to problems down the line.

The more of us get the message about "slippery slopes", the more we have the chance to change things for the better.

Let's see if we can do better with creating a peaceful relationship with Iran, than we did with Iraq.

Thanks for reminding. The pan-militarism is connected to the struggle for energy as well, with China and the US distributing arms to dictators to maintain alliances with oil-exporting countries. Educating ourselves & others about the political/economic issues retarding the growth of energy-efficient technologies(check out the 157mpg Loremo; Cape Wind; OTEC) is essential for political liberty, as well as environmental and economic welfare.
