Karen Duffy (1:36), Adam Curry (1:40), Dave Kendall -my favorite show 120 Minutes (1:48), Iggy Pop (1:50), Tabitha Soren (2:46), Queen Latifah (2:49), Fred Schneider of The B-52s (2;54), Gilbert Gottfried (2:58) and the late great Ted Demme (4:30).
Nice to see this video again. My fav part is the end, where they say all the names. Although it would've been nice if Cindy Crawford, Martha Quinn, Pauly Shore and Downtown Julie Brown ACTUALLY participated, lol.
yeah, there were actually days back when MTV showed music clips all day long and you were hooked on it, you knew exactly what show is on on given time... today it's all cribs and bling bling series and crap.
in MTV Europe in the early 90's you had a mere half hour of Yo! MTV Raps in the afternoon and there would be a re-run very late at night daily...LOL
but this was the best quality era of Hip Hop. period.
Exactly. MTV was actually WORTH WATCHING back then.
Yo! MTV Raps with Ed Lover & Dr. Dre each day, and then Yo! with Fab 5 Freddy every Sat night as well. They had Rock/Rapumentary's, good videos, MTV News, etc. It was a good time.
Those were the days!MTV showed videos!None of this reality crap !!Why is the network trying to shove this california lifestyle crap down peoples throats?By the way, loved Karyn Bryant!
damn....17 years ago....this might have been THE peak of MTV.....EVERYTHING was solid around this time....every genre, the hosts, just everything.........
bring back yo! mtv raps even the classic shows too a new generation is missing some of the great legends that made rap what it is today so my fellow youtube viewers write to mtv to bring yo! mtv raps back on thank you
I'm not too sure but I think that guy at 4:32 is Jonathan Demme, the filmmaker responsible for such great films as "Philadelphia", "Stop Making Sense" and "The Silence Of The Lambs". He directed a few rap videos, including the "Sun City" video.
this song and Back Up Off Me represent the hight of fame for Dr Dre and Ed Lover.

The crew of Yo! MTV Raps did it back in
1991 when they played a lotta videos
back then until 'reality' changed things.
Now it's RTV:Reality Television instead
of MTV: Music Television.
