This is not true, TKD existed already a long long time ago in korea in the form of Hwoarangdo (the knights of the rose or flower), but with the japanese colonization, tkd was forbidden and karate was the only martial art allowed.

And when japan lost the war, and korea got freed, a new martial art was formed, a mix with old korean martial arts and japanese karate.

Pretty much right except it wasn't dubbed tkd pretty much until the 20th century. It was more taekkyeon (spelling might be off).

orcgrunt89 true... but choi travelled to comunist countries...south corea was in a dictatorial regim before de korean civil war and he was owned by the goverment. Remeber the taekwondo was created in 1955 by 8 kwans masters(Song Moo Kwan, Han Moo Kwan,Chang Moo Kwan,Moo Duk Kwan,

Oh Do Kwan, Kang Du Kwan, Hung Do Kwan, Ji Do Kwan).Choi was the Oh Do Kwan master and he propused the name of TAEKWONDO to unificate the 8 kwans.Choi was elected because he was a general and korea was dictatorial.

the first taekwondo was the kta taekwondo(korean taekwondo assosiation) ,it was created by choi and other grand masters of korea,late choi created the itf in canada because he had a trouble in corea(he went to north korea ...you know the cold war).

This guy has good techniques but he is performing them all wrong.

Example when he is performing hakari seogi with keumgang makki as a part of that patteren it is done slower with no snapping motion at the end.

If you dont believe me just look up the dan grade poomse in the WTF Ku ki won TKD Textbook!

If he read the texts he could be so much better but hey my sidekicks are no where near that good!!! :P

actually very good technique. nice and fast, proper taekwondo. the only problem is now, the wtf masters have gone and changed how the patterns are done, (shorter stances etc) they think they make them better, but my instructor (7th dan) actually convinced them that it wasnt!
