  • @xJasminelovesyoux Yes he sure is!

  • The first time I heard this song was on the radio one morning. I went to get breakfast and turned the radio on right before this song came on, while I was driving my z71, a tad hungover with a cigarette in my mouth. It was like he was talking to me, lol.

  • About fucking time Nashville gives a real country artist a shot.

  • Great video. Can't wait to see him in Knoxville next Saturday night. Gonna be a helluva party.

  • only true country left besides hank williams jr and3

  • yeah, nowadays country just sings about high school and shit. that's fine, but i like this real stuff.

    long live cowboys

  • I hate how these new country artists only sing about how country they are but Jamey doesnt he sings about real things

  • andrew our pasts seem pretty similar jamey is bringing back what country music is all about and memories of country legends without a doubt a huge breath of fresh air for country music best country artist right now and the best in a long time in my eyes

  • im only 25 but i grew up fishing on the back of a boat with my grandfather listening to legends like haggard, jones, hank, patsy, loretta, jonny horton, and cash to name a few. He is gone now, but jamey bridges the gap of classic to modern. My grandfather was a drill sergeant at fort jackson and went to korea 3 times. He was a huge traditionalist. He would have loved to hear jamey.

  • best artist in a long time im 21 and im proud to say he his my generations hank and jennings and jones and david allen coe and hag keep doin what your doin man your fans are supporting you hell and he needs to keep that badass beard long man the country outlaw look is badass gah jj is the shit

  • LOVE Jamey's voice, his songs... NICE!

  • You have hit the bulls eye baby! Can't wait till we see ya again! We love ya Jamey!

  • Love that ole time sound!!

  • I saw Jamey at the West Virginia State Fair this past monday. He is the shit!!! Kepp it up Jamey Johnson

  • 304!

  • @travismarcum WV ALL THE WAY

  • yeah jamey is the only true new country artist. all new ones like swift and pickler are pop not country. i want this stuff not some pop crap they try to pass of as country. i am smart enough to see that.

  • Listen to some Justin Moore, He is just a good ole backwoods Arkansas Boy. Just like me. Hell Yea GO HOGS

  • Just stick to what you do brother. We recognize genuineness. We, the listening public, can see through bullshit. Make music that you want to hear cuz you got to hear it for 2 hours every night.

I've played guitar off and on for over 25 years now. Right now my only guitar, a POS 12-string, is set up with a drop-D tuning. Whenever I pick it up, I play what I want to hear. Be it Marty's "Honky-Tonk Crowd" or some made up jam. And when I play in a guitar store, crowds normally gather.

  • this is a sweet song im aboout to get a dip tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • i second that toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • I have bought 2 of his CDs and I truly cannot remember the last time I bought a CD. I did it to support his music, sending a message that this is what country music should sound like. I LOVE IT!!!

  • @Thacker HELL YES BROTHER I HATE THIS NEW COUNTRY MUSIC IT'S LIKE POP ROCK

  • That mornin sun made its way thru the windshield of my Chevy too! Jamey you are the man can't wait to see you live. You came in the right part of my life. If its cocaine and a whore its cocaine and a whore. Preach On!

  • You are right country girl.

    its sad really.

  • Jamey do not change anything for anybody .Your music is for anyone who has ever picked a guitar and wanted to sing how they feel.

  • you are correct countrygirl3883

  • Todays country has basically turned into Hip-Hop wit a added acoustic guitar =[, a good example of this would be the new artist Taylor Swift...her music sucks ass and it is no where near what true country sounds like! Jamey Johnson has brougt back what country is truely suppose to sound like! I love him! =]

  • Not to mention she can't carry a tune in a bucket, she is a train wreck live...Good comment countrygirl3883, I was beginning to think I was the only one feeling this way about todays country radio!

  • I heard from a lady that works for cmt that she doesnt even play her guitar live... its someone else or its a recording.. who knows

  • oh me and my buddies are right there with you...i love listenin to jamey johnson, johnny cash or hank williams than that shit they play on the radio it sounds to much rock but don't get me wrong i do like some of it like jason michael carroll and jason aldean but nothing compares to old country jamey johnson kinda reminds me of the old country

  • @countrygirl3883 "Today's country has basically turned into Hip-Hop wit a added acoustic guitar" is the dumbest statement ever. Keep your opinions to yourself until they're more developed. Good music is out there, you just have to find it. That's how it's always been. You can't always have the best music being put out 24/7 year after year.

  • @countrygirl3883 right!!! downloading is cool but if you dont buy the music you like you are playing yourself support good music right on countrygirl!!!! as you can see im a friendly drunk LOL!!!!

  • Jamey Johnson is for sure the legend no doubt about that

  • he's been around for awhile, i wish he was played more, got more exposure. Some of his best works were written for other people

  • hell yea jamey keep er rollin...true country right here

  • This dude is hands down the BEST "country" singer out right now!!! Can someone please explain to me why we get into garbage ass songs congered up by Kenny Chesney about a f'n beach in Maui??? Nobody die hard country gives 2 shits about your ass on a beach with a 100 dollar drink and a cute blue chair watchin the tide roll in!!!! Entertain the jellyfish, cause apparently thats who votes for the entertainer of the year!! WAKE UP!!! This is TRUE COUNTRY!!!

  • Rob..you've hit the x ring my friend..listen up folks..this is real country..thks great post..Loko ;)

  • Good shit! Spinning the hell out of this and Chris Knight.

  • This is the guy who will save "country" music from dissolving into meaningless crap...God Bless him!!

  • THIS IS ME IS THAT U!!!

  • Love the sound of his voice...getting back to traditional country...love it...

  • Hes got the best music ive heard in a while.

  • Jamey is definatly taking country back in the rite direction

  • i think jamy johnson is going to be with us for a long time i like all his music and look forwerd to jamin with him when i make it bill collett aka country dad

  • I LOVE HIS VOICE!!!!!!!!!!

  • carpetpro you said it all. when i first heard in color i was on a mission to find out what the rest of the album was like. in this day of country with jewel, simpson(what the hell is up with that) its great to have a talent like Jamey come out and hopefully steer country back in the right direction. kick jewel and simpson to the curb

  • ver well said...i agree with ya!!!!...Like Travis Tritt once sang..."country aint country no more"....aint that the truth!

  • AMEN!!!

  • It's so great to have what I consider "The Real Deal" put out music and do it their way. I have waited for an artist and record like this to come out foe many years. A true outlaw, the total package. I feel like i'm getting the best of Haggard, Jennings, Jones, Paycheck, Coe, just to name a few all rolled up in one deal. This is the best music to come out in a very long time.

    Thanks for the music Jamey!!

  • I know the guy he is talkin to. His name is Brad. Can't remember his last name but he works with Sekret Service which I guess you could say is an umbrella company of Musik Mafia. He represents talent. He doesn't represent Jamey but they know each other through a FOX show that aired called "Nashville" which was a reality based docusoap. I thought the show had potential but FOX pulled it after 2 episodes. People in the music biz in Nashville all know eachother. Its a big "small" town.

  • Love this, love him! WOW! The reference in this song to 'chert rock' road, is this an AL thing? I see he & Teddy Gentry sang together.

  • love this song. gotta forgive him for honkey-tonk-ba-donky-donk....that's all right, for our time though, his name will be in alot of cd inlets

  • Reminds me of Kris Krisofferson but with a better voice. This guy can write a song.

  • wat is the name of the song at the first of this?

  • The Lonesome Song

  • i'll agree chris knight is pretty good but jamey johnson is much better

  • Yea Chris Knight is as good of a songwriter.....but not Eric Church

  • JAMEY JOHNSON is one hell off a song writer, and a singer. He reminds you of the old Hank JR (late 70's early 80's).

  • TODAY'S BEST COUNTRY SINGER

  • Who is that guy he is talkin to?

  • Good song writer but Eric Church and Chris Knight are better, my opinion of course.

  • great song man...u kick ass...very very david allen coe..great job

  • I LOVE YOU JAMEY JOHNSON! =]

You really are the best songwriter out there today. And your voice is amazing. I love to hear you sing! Keep up the great work.
