How did you get so many people to act in that play? At my school we were lucky to get a teacher/director much less a full cast, our performances were just dancing and lip syncing very good for a HS production.
Just to tell you I was in this production... and this is a really bad recording... believe me... it was nothing like what is was live... you have to remember that things are a lot better in person then they are on tape
do you have this eponine's 'on my own' id like to hear it. its a pretty good production. i liked it. having performerd on west end its hard to compare but pretty good.
There's nothing wrong with making a good attempt at a strong and emotionally moving show like this. It's better than a show that school's around the country have done a million times. Be more optimistic guys. Bravo CHS!
no offence but wgy would you attempt to pull off such a hard production. i thought you did such a good job on it, but it is one of the worlds most popular plays and it is one of the hardest to preform, and thats why i think you should have done something smaller such as miss saigon, or jesus christ superstar. if almost all of you try out 4 the play you should get it in about 10- 15 years.

Yes it is true, they worked long and hard on this show and they are just highschoolers! And yes, the girl who plays Eponine is very talented and an amazing person.
I agree about the emotions. This is one of the climax pieces before intermission and it is suppossed to leave the audience anxious for the second act to start.
the vocals aren't always all that bad, but everyone seems to be seriously lacking in emotion. its supposed to be a big, huge, energetic number that is supposed to get the blood pumping. costumes, set and staging is very good, vocals are descent but the lack of enthusiasm really kills anything good about it. even the marching seems too staged and robotic.
is this sped up?

I loved it! At first I was doubtful (sorry, just a little) but the ending was very VERY good. Very sharp -
right on. The voices mixed together and at the same time stood out (hope you know what I mean lol)
