  • It's actually 432 with arm crossing, I think.

  • so they say "if your not dropping balls your not learning", ive been "learning" alot recently >.<

    very nice tutorial btw :)

  • I really like all your tutorials. But i think Burke's Barrage could be taught less confusingly. I like to teach it as a 423 variation. The 3 just stays on the outside and the 4s are always inside throws. If you can get that pattern then the 2 is a flourish between the peaking 4 and the recently caught 3. It could also be taught as a mills mess variation where the hand on top is just always pulled in between the other two balls. Its cool to teach the same trick in different ways.

  • @drumersrule i know what you mean about different ways to teach it but i reckon its simpler to learn it as a variation of mills mess. Mills mess is a more BASIC pattern, and more useful as there are hundreds if not thousands of variations, like a prime number of juggling patterns.

  • hey i'm just now checking out your awesome tutorials. I'm very impressed with your demeanor when it comes to juggling snobbery. Also, very informative!! I think I may get mills mess down in a day were it not for having stitches in my back, making it difficult to reach down so ofter to pick up drops. cheers!!

  • @plumbersteve Thanks, glad you like them! Sorry about your back - it might help you to try juggling over a bed so you don't have to bend over so much after drops. I usually do so when learning confusing new tricks, haha. Here's to a quick recovery!

  • thx

  • thats not burks barrage it should have each ball in its own row going up and coming down with your arms crossing in a mills mess pattern undrer

  • @thtguy6887 I believe you're thinking of the boston mess. I have a tutorial for that, too.

  • @thegnome54 thx

  • what's the song in 1:46?

  • @Mushi98 it is: come together - the beatles

  • i can do the windmill but burkes barrage..... omg

  • thanks i can now but after practice it's very simple

  • Yes, great vid, thanks. I was not sure why my Burke's Barrage was not looking like some of the others I've seen. You nailed it with that little bit at the end about the claw catch of the column throw. Excellent tip, dude, just flippin' excellent!!!

  • excellent tutorial dude!!

  • Thank you!!! It took me ages to get burke's barrage... i'm still working on it but thank you so much!!

  • ivebeen looking for a good windmill pattern tutorial and most of them were just showing me the windmill like ahahaha beoch i can do it just tell you "this is ow you do it" but you give step didnt just say hahaha beoch i can do it and you cant so THANK YOOUUUU

  • Gnome, your tutorials are very good and helped me a lot, thanks for making them and still jugging !!!!!!!

    greetings from Mexico !!!!!!

P.D. Where can I get some balls like yours???

  • Thanks, glad to help! I got them from the jugglo store online, they're the pro glow balls. Expensive, but great quality!

  • @thegnome54 I got it now thanks:D

  • oh well thank you very much. I love all of your videos and im learning to juggle well. Thank you for acknowledging the fact i requested it unlike other ppl.

  • gnome look at the tutorial for takes outs and burke's barrage by eMretsiM thats how u actually do it

  • The only difference in the actual pattern there is that he's doing claws on the outside catches. I mentioned that that's the 'official' way of doing it at the end of this video. Also, I've added your tutorial requests to my list. I'll try to my best to deliver some of those over winter break in a few weeks.

  • thats not burkes barrage ma dude

  • I could be wrong. What does it look like to you?

  • @thegnome54 it's called "Lazy Burke's Barrage" i think.. in the original pattern from Ken Burke the blue ball moves like an infinity symbol.

  • @mitchel129 sry, maybe not really as an infinity symbol, but at least the blue ball goes from left to right and right to left.

  • Thanks a lot a great tutorial.

  • that isnt burkes barrage. or is it....??

  • Matt?

  • Mittens?

  • hey I'm curious where you got your Juggling Balls, I always see you using glowy ones and stuff in your awesome videos

  • I got them online from Jugglo, google it. They're the pro glow balls. A bit expensive, but a great investment!

  • Thanks! I was wondering that myself!

  • i got the windmill and now im workin on mills mess thanks:)

  • THANK YOU,... A LOT !

    finally i get it :D

thans for the steps and all

  • That's great to hear, I'm glad I could help!

  • i found this very helpful

    thanks

  • i like to think of the windmill as a half shower with underarm throws.

  • Nice video. Cannot do that Burke thing. But i've learned Bostons mess in your tutorial. THANKS!

  • very nice. cleared that out:D

  • Nice tutorials, thx

  • I watched several videos purporting to teach the windmill, but I couldn't wrap my mind around it until I saw your simple breakdown of moves leading to it. You are a gifted teacher.

  • Just a tip, next time split both tutorials into separate videos, cuz i can already do the windmill, but i need some help with barrage...

  • thx man, now i can do 2 more tricks :D

  • Hey

Thanks for these tutorials, they rule!

Almost got Windmill now, but I'm still throwing the ball under the underarm throw, instead of over... :/

But I'm getting there I guess.

Thanks alot, best regards from Norway;)

  • thnx man i learnt the windmill but i'm so stuppid because i dont get the burke's barrage. i so want to learn that........but thanx anyway for the windmill

  • theas are some of the best tutorials man... thanks!

  • i just watched a few different vids on the windmill. i tried it out and i pretty much did it, but my underarm throws werent curved enough. it is basically just the halfshower only the left hand goes under the arm (curved)rather than to the inside in a normal cascade. the right hand is exactly the same. and thats how i learned the windmill in 10 seconds =P

  • and right to left of course.

  • You're sure you're not already doing mills mess? Because that's pretty much all it is =P

  • Uh yep. I just confirmed it with another youtuber. Apparently it's called Flo's Mess, another variation of Mills. I dont see the difference though O.o

  • Hmm. How to describe it. Err. It's just changing from a left windmill to a right windmill continuously so it looks like a figure 8.

  • Yeah.

  • Wanted an opinion on yours. I watched some mills mess videos and the most i can do is a constant left and right windmill, which looks similar to a mills mess. In your opinion, what exactly am i missing out on?

  • I'm not entirely sure I know what you mean. Are you asking how to turn this into a mills mess, or asking why mills mess is a good pattern to know?

  • Can you please do a mill's mess tutorial?

  • hey is it me or is burks barage similar to reverse chops???

  • i tried to learn burkes barrage from danceys encyclopedia of juggling today and i thought i had it! until i got home and looked on youtube and i wasnt doing the takeouts.

I looked at a few tutorials and could do it at all until i watched this video. I learnt it in like 5-10 minutes. Awesome video!! the intermediate steps really helped with the takeouts!! thanks!!!

  • understood the BB's pattern thanks to your explanation x))

  • The windmill is a piece of cake. But burke's barrage--I can't get my head around it. I got both the 2-ball intermediate steps. But then you throw in the 3rd ball and just do it. Could you explain how you go from 2 balls to 3balls?

  • cool I just learned burke's barrage. it was so confusing at first, but after about an hour I finally understood it. its actually very simple and easy to control once you learn it. thanks

  • Great! It's such a fun pattern to do, too!

  • thank you for this tutorial. i tried burke's barrage before, but was never able to do it. after about 45 min with your tutorial, i can finally do it!

  • Awesome! I'm glad it worked for you!

  • Great job! I had thought of making a burke's barrage tutorial, but i can't even begin to think of a way to explain it. You did very well explaining both these tricks. The burke's with claws looks really cool too!

  • Thanks, that's great to hear!
