How can this slimy man swagger around calling himself the "writer". The story was already there, he basically just spent 5 years choosing what lines to remove. It's tragic how little mention of Anne Michaels there is in this, it's such a fabulously subtle book. He doesn't even correct the interviewer when she implies he wrote it.
