Anna1755: There are actually quite a few videos of Danny Gatton (another great guitarist, who took his own life some time in the 90's), Albert Lee and Vince Gill. One video with those three together is a performance of "One Way Rider." They all solo and they all do great. Vince Gill's playing is quite close to Albert Lee's, which does makes sense. Gill has often stated that Albert Lee influenced his own playing more than any other guitarist.

Both great players (Redd and Gatton that is). But as far as just burning the frets off a Tele. I think Gatton in the Redneck Jazz Explosion era was the king and I have yet to hear anyone top it, including Redd!

You're right--Red's great,but Gatton was the undesputed KING of the TELE--along with Buchanan,Lee,and Guthrie Trapp--these guys didn't just play Teles, they WERE Telecasters!!
