@miemin0112 they have blood because they're living tissue over cybernetic endoskeletons. Its not really that it has a purpose, but it let's them time travel. All in all, if you watched this on youtube, and then asked that question, I say go watch one of the movies. Should clear some of it up.

@k072491b And, both the t-600 and t-700 had skin made of silicone! It made them look human, but the resistance still found them easy to spot! The purpose of the t-800 being covered in flesh was to give it the ability to move amongst over humans virtually invisible because it means it looks even more human!

i know that they only had a $30 budget to create this effect, but seriously, this whole effect is crap. the fake skin looks alright, but the chest plate is lacking in any sort of detail or creativity. the least they could've done was add some details onto it with a sharpy or something, it looks so bland and shitty.
