  • Cool car Kyle. Thanks for yet another fun to watch auto review video.

  • id murder that buzzer so fast

  • i love when kyle says "SWEET"

  • @jxxn442 just a buzzer

  • this is the muscle car of germany

  • Wishing you guys ultimate success with your nice video, More eyes should really see this

  • DALLAS!!!

  • 39 year old 450SL done 92,000 miles?...Yeah Right...It sounds like shit...20 years ago owned a used 450SL with a genuine 127,000 on it, and it ran like new...This CLUNKER is on it's last legs...Try adding another '0' to the mileage and I might believe it.

  • 92k for a 73...nice

  • how much was the owner of the yellow 450 asking for?

  • i LOVE that 280se in the back

  • Wow, the olden times were advanced too!

  • Is it a diesel engine?

  • @LAXDV

No, gasoline, you can see a 5800rpm redline. Diesels from 1973 are not able rev more than 4500rpm (not necessary)

  • the 1971-1989 Mercedes-Benz 450SL was assembled in

    Sindelfingen, Germany

  • I love how he says "Mercedes Benz" lol

  • is this carbed?

  • @maeng97 fuel injection didn't start till the early 80's

  • Weird Buzzer

  • this thing SCREAMS DavidsFarm

  • @mcwilliamson545 david rock is a confirmed pedophile who molests kids, to hell with that ass

  • these V8's just beg for a K&N filter and flowmaster on em we have em on our benzes and they just make it a whole new car Really just the car it was intended to be from the factory

  • @Domman56 k&n doesn't do anything other than suck more oil and dirt in the engine for a bit more money and make a tiny bit more noise. it's psychological horse power improvement in your mind

  • @SeeProfileForDetails dude we have them in all of our old benzes and they alwys run smoother and better plus we've dynoed them and they always pick up a few HP from it

  • That's funny I drove by that place a few weeks ago!

  • I love how these things had hydraulic power locks... that's so ridiculously quirky you just have to love it.

  • can't believe yellow is the original haha

  • Now THIS is what I love to see, an EXCELLENT condition R107 Mercedes in the sun! A timeless design aging gracefully in it's element. Personally, that's why German cars are my favorite, especially the older ones, because while it's 70's counterparts look terribly dated (70's Cadillacs looks like bombastic yachts, and 70's Jag E-types suffered from poor reliability and those terrible U.S.- spec bumpers gave the cat a more snaggle-toothed look), the Benz still looks showroom fresh. Thanks, Kyle!

  • Kyle, I've seen this on older mercedes but if you look on the gas guage what does R stand for?

  • Comment removed

  • @ilovecars1996

Oh, that just means refill, as in to refill the gas tank. Most European cars had different, almost surreal icons all over the dash up until the 2000's, I guess.

  • Beautiful.. it's not a car, its an iron horse with a drinkin' problem. I love these old Benz.

  • ALMOST 6.9! :P

  • Can You Please Find A 2010 Cadillac Srx I'd Really Appreciate It!

  • Like the car, but I cant see anyone going into a Merc dealer ad saying "I want that one right there in yellow"

  • Very nice this car is in great shape

  • wow phenomenal car how it is possible to keep such old car in such great condition ! amazing ! and great video !

  • Please do that black E-class I see in the backround. =)

    Also I think this is a 420SL.

  • @Forgoten214

    no 420SL in America

  • @jwatwater

    Oh alright, sorry about that.

  • Test Drive!

  • nice shag carpet seats!

  • Since when did a '73 have power windows? haha cool

  • @hcs4life21 power windows have been around since the 50s , check out the 62 cadillac I uploaded last week, with power windows and a power bench seat!

  • Wow, am I seeing correctly? Dual zone heater controls in a '73? Thats amazing

  • Heard these were also rock solid reliable unlike the Mercedes of today. 2 many electrical doodads I guess.

  • Viva Mercedes-Benz!

  • i remeber this 450 coupe in tv show dallas laugh.and i notice the 1966 mercedes

who ever buy this car can ride for a long time

  • 1:03

This is why am i loved the German cars!

  • @danessz93 also opel cars ^-^ i have no not me mi partents a 1889 opel corsa cdx 1.4

  • got such low miles because of the buzzer ;)

  • looks like a banana on wheels haha

  • Man if I had the money I would buy that in a heartbeat, that thing is beautiful.

That luggage rack is awesome! :D

  • Great find. Do they have more Mercedes for sale? I'm looking forward to more Mercedes-Benz videos.

  • contry music sucks

  • what is with those trunk racks from the 80s and 90s

  • the stereo is very good for its age .

  • How do you put the luggage on and make it stay on so it doesn't fly off?

  • Nice classic car, Kyle !

  • my grandma used to have this car its was awesome!

  • I like all of your videos, but I have to say my favorite ones are the classic car ones, keep them coming if you can plz =)

  • @mrwireful10000 classic and vinitage cars soo simple.

  • Awesome man!!! The engine is fuel injected, and I think that's why it started up easily

    Gotta love your vintage Mercedes!

  • I have a 450 SE, same engine/tranny. Wonderful car to drive and very reliable. Its often the rust that kills this type of car, the very complex mechanics are incredible well built.

  • @bajsburken bought it new or used ?

  • @koioo2 Used with 167800 miles on the clock.

  • @bajsburken wowwww.years was in the hageu.family member or friend of mom

don t know type bought a mercedes second hands she drove it for years.

i saw in a not classic a mercedes S class in website of mercedes.was very low price

i bet you can drive for years.only wash it wax it for the rust.maintain service

  • hella linda carter

  • Nice car, but the spoiler is horrible.

  • @visionimagify Hahaha that's not a spoiler, it's a luggage rack!

  • can't believe this generation of the sl class lasted for 17 years. 1972-1989

  • @celsovera91 I know, shows how popular it was haha, I annotated a video I did back in dec of 09 of a 1985 380SL and you can see how it's almost the same thing haha

  • my uncle had this exact car in all black

  • Sweet home Alabama! Lord I'm comin home to you!

  • @gajda1984 am fair away snik snik

  • As I remarked in my post on the '66 250SE video, M-Bs were, and are, costly when it comes to certain models. In '73, this 450SL would have cost approximately $13,500 brand-new, or $65,300 in today's (2010) money. So this was an expensive model in its day.

  • Nice but needs a tunueup, bit of a miss..

  • It is interesting to note how far that car has come. It has so many more luxury features now in 2010. That styling has help up well too.

  • I would love to see a vid of that red Ponton 1950s Merc with its hood open. @ :10, VERY desirable E-class convertible. Worth up to 20 grand today.

  • @1bentley4ever Hoping to get a lot more videos here in the future!

  • @saabkyle04 Classic Merc and classic Caddy as well as Lexus vids are my favorites of your videos. Jag ones as well! And don't forget the Bentley ones!

  • Yaaaay! I wondering whether you would do a review of this. I am glad you did! early 70s SLs are the best because they don't have the ugly front bumpers. The trunk rack and the funky paint job make it look very Euro spec. If it had the rectangular headlights it would look totally Euro! Thanks for the Benz vids!

  • @1bentley4ever I even just told someone that I annotated a vid I made back in december 09 of a 85 380SL and you can see how amazingly similar they are! Anytime! I love doing vintage car videos :)

  • @saabkyle04 Vintage cars seem more exciting to me than modern cars, even though modern cars have more toys. I loves that 380sl vid. This one is even more awesome! What I noticed is that both SLs had their hardtops on. A REALLY rare Mercedes to find is the 1970s Mercedes 450SLC. The SLC looks like a hardtop 70-80s SL with a longer wheelbase, but is based on the older S-class 250SE you did a vid on. In essence, it is an early CL.

  • @1bentley4ever Oh wow that's crazy! I have never even heard of that before, i'm going to look it up, sounds like a fantastic machine. I will be putting up that 95 LS400 video tomorrow and the 99 LS400 the following day, THAT was indeed a great find to be looking all this time and then stumble upon 2 at once haha

  • @saabkyle04 Can't wait to see that LS vid. The SLC is pretty awesome. I however, need to correct myself. The SLC is actually on the same platform as the SL, but is NOT a coupe S-class when it comes to chassis. It might be considered a sort of CL, though.

  • @1bentley4ever no, the slc is not rare, it is worth less used. SLC was more expensive to buy new, but isn't rarer used or worth more than an SL

  • @SeeProfileForDetails True, I have seen some second hand SLCs for under 5 thousand. But you can't get a similar aged SL for less than 9 thousand.

  • kyle can u plz do a review for that black c-class ?

  • This reminds of the car in san andreas called the seltzer or something.

  • @MrPS3Wii Feltzer :P I know exactly what you're talking about haha

  • Покрашено плохо. Видны следы краски под передним бампером и на крышке багажника. На правом заднем крыле отходит молдинг. Кто так красит ? Нелегальные эмигранты?

It is painted badly. Paint traces under a forward bumper and on a luggage carrier cover are visible. On the right back wing departs molding. Who so paints?

  • Lovin the classic merc vids.

  • wow this 73 benz is more advanced then some cars from the 80s too

  • The classic Benz's are better than the new ones in my opinion, except for the new 2010 "gullwing".

  • honk*cough cough*honk XD anyway these fluffy seats are really a punch in the eye ahah!

  • ugh those buzzers, that car looks like kyle needs to buy it :D

  • I think you omitted the fact that the car is a hardtop .

  • Sure came a long way from that 66 250SE from yesterday!

  • My neeebor has one of this cars , its cabriolet

  • as borat would say "very nice"

  • Beautiful Car!

Nice Vid as usual Kyle! ;)

  • w0o0ow this car is nice,. a real beauty.

those kroonkurk rims are like the dot on the i

    5outa5 + fav

  • That yellow is just beautiful! Those classic Mercees are amazing!
