  • its so sad that hes spending the last of his career rotting on the bench

  • Greatest goal ever in my opinion

  • Great video bro, what kind of potato did you film it with?

  • dude did you film this with a dildo

  • When he grows up, he is going to be a bench warmer!

  • @chenyl0525 still one of our greatest ever goal scorers dont talk like a cunt

  • @adamfriend2003 Everyone is going to remember one of england greatest goal scorer is nothing more then a bench warmer. Pity

  • Just think what he'll be like when he grows up...a bloody league winner...finally...good on you son

  • That really is a cracking goal. Great first touch. Even looks a little like Messi keeping the ball so close to his feet as he goes round the last man.

  • not all english commentators are boring check out martin tyler, his the best english commentator going

  • "just think what he will be like when grows up" INJURED

  • Man are english commentators so boring. Well I hate the screaming spanish ones that don't shut up but man the English commentators never gets excited one bit.

  • @TBoneMontana look for steven gerrards goal against Olympiakos, i think that would be more sort of what you would expect :) but yer i agree alot of the time they are fairly dull but i prefer them to american commentators :)

  • too bad he left liverpool on the cheap to go to real madrid. serve him right and i hope arsenal or city beat manutd to the title so that owen doesnt get a title. fag

  • Lousy goalkeeper

  • we would of won that but for beckham.....

  • ...and if Rooney ever scores a goal half as good as that in an England shirt, i will be impressed....

  • i cryed when he scored this goal

  • It's sad watching that back. What a tragic wasted talent Owen was. Ruined by injury, Houliier must take his share of the blame for overplaying him, plus youth coaches and perhaps Owen himself. Never realised his full potential, bit like Gazza in fact. A recurring theme in English football. THat was his greatest moment so early in his career. He had the world at his feet.

  • Imagine scoring a goal like that in front of the entire world before you turned 19... Nearly impossible to live up to later, but what a feeling it must have been for him at the time.

  • he cud've become an all time great, if he didnt make that mistake by going to real madrid.. if he just stayed at liverpool, today owen wud've been the first choice striker and not rooney

  • @vanmaarwijk Then we'd actually have a striker.

  • he was so good player, and now he's in ManU... such a shame

  • damn, he was that good when he was 18. What happened to him lol?

  • just think what he'd be like when he grows up haha... advertising washing up powder

  • when he grows up? injury prone.

  • Watching that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand. :)

  • Englands version of maradonna

  • @krisb0904 yeah not quite

  • owen got screwed by real madrid... things would be different if he'd stayed in liverpool

  • Thankgod we dont have trevor brooking commenting anymore so dull!!!

  • beautiful goal by the turncoat welshman XD

  • The only way it could have been any better is if he used his hand :)

  • haha scoles said "leave it to me" errm no. OWEN :)

  • man... i rem this goal like it was yesterday... this is one of my fav goals of all time

  • Take that Argentina Cunts!!! How do u feel about that Mardonna

  • @Hypersonic94returns i think he felt fine when Argentina won the game on PK's lol. Oh and then he felt even better when his second goal in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico was voted "Goal of the Century" (ahead of this goal by owen).

  • @Hypersonic94returns nosotros los cogimos a ustedes ingleses putos

  • @Hypersonic94returns how did u feel when u got sent the fuck home HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Owen was awesome when he was young he could accelerate past any defender. Just he was wasted a bit because everyone was saying hes not experienced and he'll get better as he gets old. And for that time Teddy Sheringham was getting a starting position....why???

  • "Paul Scholes saying leave it to me, he say, no you're not I'm going to put it at the back of the net."

  • Legends on the field (scholes, shearer, beckham, owen)

  • The Argentine defender on the D was woeful, but a great goal nevertheless

  • @sagahammer Ayala, one of the best argentinian defender at the time :D

  • I was completely delirious when Owen scored. The boxes and crates that had served as improvised terraces at the back of the pub went for a good'un and then I all I remember is running about, unable to cope, kissing skin heads and bouncing off walls.

  • too bas he was injured so often , he had such a great potential

  • Can't fight wars, Can't drill oil,Can't play football.

  • las malvinas son argentinas

  • Great moment of world football, despite the fact that Argentina deserved the victory.

And by the way, the Falkland islands are British!

  • Falklnads is Eengland.

  • @diegariv

Isn't that our oil rig on the oil? Yeah, it is!

Words mean little. Oil rigs mean more.

  • Comment removed

  • And Argentina belonged to the "red man" before Spanish settlers took that. If you give back Argentina to the Native Americans maybe we will give you the Falklands/Malvinas

  • @diegariv Why don't you take em? oh wait....the falklands never have been part of argentina. The islanders are british and want to remain so, we have been there for 170 years, and the island was uninhabited when we arrived....the falklands are ours and nothing a third world country like yours can do will change that.

  • well despite his injuries he didn't do so bad did he? he won the ballon d'or, i'm sure plenty of players wouldn't mind having that in their cabinet...although that trophy is a bit lonely mind you

  • Just think what he'll be like when he grows up...

    injuries fucked him up.

just think what he could of been had he gone straigh to Sir Alex lol legend!!

  • The perfect goal.

  • THE LEGEND!

  • fantastic goal owen is the best

  • best what? certainly not the best striker when you have the likes of Henry, Ronaldo, Del Piero........

  • agreed

  • Owen would have been one of the best ever if he wasn't so injury prone. That England kit is so much better than the ones we get today - no chavy gold Umbro logos!

  • @stephen181 and if he handnt left liverpool

  • You tit

  • Just think what he'll be like when he grows up...not quite as good

  • @PomBare he had some bad injuries son. He was a great goal scorer, but you're a fag

  • @5tar5z actually I resent that. I agree that he was a great scorer, and he's just been unlucky with injuries, he was always one of my favourite players. My comment is more aimed at the cliche that commentators use when referring to prodigies. Many do not improve out of sight. And what has me and my manlove got to do with anything anyway?

  • @PomBare Or imagine what he was like at Liverpool, if Real didn't buy him and left on the bench he would have reached his full potential.

  • i heard someone like real madrid paided like £1 million pounds just to speak to him at liverpool if they ever wanted to sell him lol

  • Owen, The great!!! A big hug from the brazilians.

Fantastic, not only for be against argentina.

  • the commentator is so dry

  • he would have came a lengend but he been injured so many times he hasn't even got a real knee cap

  • Owen will become a United legend...

  • he`s coming to OT, poor scousers he`ll be a mancunian in 24 hrs !
