@johnpilongz there's no schematic on the zip file, but pcb.png is simple enough to draw a schematic from. About the components, i really don't remember the part number either the vendor, but it was 16 pin DIP chips with 4 optocouples in it. I'm not sure about electrical characteristics.
@hello123423hi hello buddy, you can get schematic and source from the 4shared link found in the description. If you want me to mail it to you please send me a private message with your email address. Thank for watching and for your interest =)
ive been using parallel port for my pc controlled devices projects and this one is unique..pls give me the schematics and source code...looking forward to develop ur stuff...
Pauses were a constant #defined on the program code. I played around a little bit with pauses timing so i could get the shortest pause which would do it =)
I'm sorry the link to the code is broke, and i have no other place to host it, but whoever want's it just message me and i'll send the souce =)
everything you need to know is at the link found on the video details.
but you will get disappointed as it's something extremely simple. i soldered wires on the keyboard circuit and used optocouplers to simulate 'keypresses' and the pc will only send pulses to the optocouplers though the parallel port.
sorry to disappoint you heheh
but anyway, you can do what you said with that, though you'd like better to use some software like skype to send sms...
Thanks for that, I did a similar thing a while ago...
I used the 12V STROBE output on my house alarm and connected it the a v-mail button of a nokia 3210 using a relay, then put my mobile in the v-mail space.
when the alarm tripped I got a phone call.
I could do so much more after seeing your idea, Thanks!
Ei rapaz, como vc fez isso? estou programando com a porta paralela e to doido pra ligar o celular no computador para enviar msg. da pra voce me dar uns toques??Valeww, aguardo respostas

ha ha. That's pretty cool. Did you have to place large pauses between each keystroke ?

I like this! are there enough out puts to be able to send an automated sms or phonecall by hitting one button on the pc?
would it be easy to use this for the following...
someone presses my doorbell linked to the pc, the pc would use the phone to text me.

sim eh bem babaca, o mais dificil foi soldar os fios no circuito do teclado e manter ele funcionando heheh
ou seja, foi mais trabalho bracal do que usar a cabeca ;)
