Her outfit from what I can tell from the box-art looks more like Meiko's outfit. I could see her wearing a skirt instead. But I think I prefer the idea of an official female Vocaloid with pants on instead.
I think she looks nice in pants too ^.^ but since she is a virtual idol, it's likely she's wearing a skirt.
I got an email from ZeroG, and they sent me Sonika art xD. She has pink hair and a pink skirt; they said they would post more works on her website. She still has green eyes and gold lipstick.
I think that's not her "true" official art. It's just one of them. Her main art is her in the green and yellow since it's her box-art so her outfit in that could be interpreted as her wearing pants which I'm going to be sticking to when I draw her(Sick of skirts and dresses to be honest).
I think, Sonika wears multiple outfit's not just "one" like the other Vocaloid's and she must also like to dye her hair....

I've already seen the artwork aswell.

Well, you can only see the top of her body on the box, so it could be either a shirt or a dress. (It looks more like a shirt to me though)

Youre right. Now that I look at the boxart now, I think its a shirt.
I'm making a sim of her right now, I guess I'll do 2, one with a shirt, and one with a dress.
