I really have a problem with this camera, I can't take any clear photo, all the photos are just unfocused, very blurred. When shooting videos I have to zoom in order to focus. Any suggestions please? Thank you so much.

HD video is OK on a LCD tv, but only with close objects, landscapes are crap. Wide angle photo's are unsharp in the edges due to the extreme zoom lens. Good camera considering the price though.
I bought this cam a month ago and agree the picture quality is not great. My 4 year old Olympus 4mp took nice clear sharp pics, the Fuji S2000HD pics look grainy, almost like oil paintings. The video is awesome for a cheap camera though, sure the focus noise is annoying but the HD vids make up for it. Sure wish I could get better pics though, I havent been able to get one clear "action" shot of my dogs running - they all come out blurry.
If you are having trouble with taking action photos, try changing the ISO setting to ISO 1600 (maximum) in the AUTO mode. Or go to the Manual mode and increase the shutter speed. The camera has a shutter speed priority mode - you can set the speed to as fast as 1/2000 of a second, so as long as you have enough light, you should be able to freeze the action.
no offence to you but if you can't take action shots you must be at least a little bit retarded, maybe you should consider comitting yourself, or possibly live in a cage. there is also the off chance that your camera is faulty and/or you have not got the right settings
ok I just got this and it's horrible. Indoor pictures are grainy (auto mode & diff resolutions). My 7 yr old 3mp Nikon that's worth about $25 now, takes better pics indoors.
The HD movie is good for the price but there is a constant clicking sound of the shutter. And of course the noisy gears. Most important though is the still pics quality, which is surprisingly bad.
I'm not trying to rag on your camera, just giving others who may buy it some advice. DON'T. Bring SD card to stores & test it
Nope, i agree, indoor pics with this camera SUCK royally. The 2-3 second pause between the push of the button and the actual click of the shutter is most annoying and means you probably missed the good shot. Outdoor pics are good, but ya, the whirring sound of the gears while zooming on videos is really annoying.
Thanks very much for this video. I'm kind of stuck as to either get this Fuji or the Canon SX10. The SX10 doesn't have HD capabilities but the gear noise on the Fuji is pretty bad.
That high pitched fine chirping sound I think is from the digital image stabilization mechanics. Check out my HD video done indoors. There's much less motion in that video, and much less of the background high pitched nois.
The original full HD file is 53.5 Mb. Dunno of any websites that will hosta a file that large for free. If you know of any, I can post it to that site. Or, send me your address, and I can mail a CD copy of the MP4 file to you. Click on vrmgi and then click on "Send Message".
AWESOME! this is as good as a camcorder,,audio wise and stabilazation even the video kicks ass it looks like.I cant wait to get it. Thanks for posting,,would definilty like to see more footage of this camera.
Bad video quality. You should realise that it isn't even 720p but only upscaled 576p
