hi i am also having the missing textures error i will explain: when my textures are up high the whole world dissappears but no popping when on medium i get popping but no missing textures it only dissappears after some time,the strange thing is i managed somehow with cacheboost to let it run but now my trial is expanded i already tryed minimem,ccleaner,smart defrag 2,updating driver without result if someone could just help me my specs:amd radeon 6870.4gb of ram(3.25usable),windows7ulti,a­mdx4 II

no the problem is the game itself, I max BF3 and Crysis 2 with my PC without any lags but I still have textures problem with GTA IV? come on now... it has nothing to do with specs, Rockstar games don't know how to optimize a game as simple as that.

Example:if you have 210/59 MB of Graphics at the bottom your computer doesnt matter its just alot of data

It doesnt go according to RAM!!!! It goes according to your processor. Intel Core i2 is minimum required. Sometimes that causes due to missing textures. Im searching for the result as Even i have the same problem. as soon as i get the result I will post a video!!!!

RAM has nothing to do with this game i run it at 4 gb with core i5 2500k and it works flawless this game is solely CPU dependant.

I'd recommend everyone if you haven't already, to have AT LEAST 2 gigs of ram for xp. If you're running windows 7 then you'll need 3 gigs or get the 64 bit version of windows 7 and have 4 gigs (so you can run plenty of other stuff at the same time too). This goes for gaming in general.

I think, the 238mb you are talking about is amount of memory used by the game, if you have seen thing in the grapichs settings. just download a patch from GTA IV's official website, install it and make all graphics settings low. thats all

There can be different problems on it.

CPU. you need dual core.

graphic card 128mb minimum.try nvidia or ati. those are best ones.

ram. you need atleast 1 gb ram for xp and 2 i thought for vista.

Direct x . download the last direct x for you're computer.

Some one told me about HD and graphic card. and log entries... I dont know much about that...

and vista is big sh*t for games. xp runs it better.

no problem, i bet if you were runnin 32bit with 4gb it wouldnt be an issue, because 32bit uses way less ram..when i was using 32 bit my pc would idle using about 400mb of ram, now that i have 64, it idles using about 1.4gb...i suppose you can also blame microsoft..
