I've done four show preps with you, Scott, and every time was different based on how my body was/wasn't responding to the protocols. It's pretty fascinating stuff, actually. There's NO formula for this that can be applied across the board; it has to be individualized. What WAS the same? Well, the foods that made up the diet were basicially the same, I did minimal to no steady-state cardio, I dialed in exactly as I wanted to, every time.
@arevalofitness Yes, true. I seldom use "calories" anymore when designing diets. but you have to really understand metabolism for that. I also wrote on article on the "Calories Myth" you can find over on my Blog. But more or less, yes, that is correct - but for neophytes sometimes counting cals can still serve a purpose, at first
I remember you did a video on Kevin weiss (the guy with calves from greek gods) and talked about how he ate 10,000 calories on a diet, I've researched a bit on refeeds, that's considered a refeed correct? Does it need to be that high in calories?
Because from what I read usually just eat an extra 500 on top of what you're actually eating
So if I'm like 15% BF what kind of diet should I be doing to lose fat effectively?and what exactly is bio feedback to look for?
@y8h9i20j We are talking specifically about being in Supercompensation and The Cycle Diet - you should get "The Science Behind the Cycle Diet" video lecture avaialbe on my website
Great video, really should help those who are working toward a contest. However, the 24 hour clock...it's "man made"....but also the amount of time the earth takes to complete one revolution and then reface the sun...it's an astronomy term called a solar day. So it's not just total nonsense...haha
@scottabelcoaching hahaha okay good. i was worried for a second that you meant that someone just randomly decided how long days would be....but yeah very true in that regard.
I remember when I used to think that I could just "buy a 12-week-diet" from the fitness experts, and I wondered why my metabolism was shattered afterwards. Hmmm...needed this education from the Coaches. :)
Kevin's face expression on the mentioning of "singles cruise" was priceless. Very informative video as always.

Coach - what are the biofeedback metrics that you use to make adjustments to someone's diet?

@LTMagic21 Yes., of course, LOL - I was referring to interpreting a solar day as somehow metabolically relevant and that is only partially true

this is the type of videos that should be on tv
most of people think a "diet" is a short period of time when they have to remain starving to lose the weight they gained in the last 10 - 20 years..
