  • Very good thinking and nice job on the improvisations. Gary/KC9RUB

  • Enjoyed the vid as always there John,

I'm awaiting my licence to arrive here in Australia so I can join the ham ranks. Can take up to a month it seems :( I like you enjoy the hands on aspect of the hobby and thoroughly enjoy your creativity with your projects.

I find there is nothing better than working a project to take your mind off any stresses.

    thanks for taking the time.

  • Excellent John.I'm sure you will soon master that keyer. And the Rockmite looks like a good qrp rig too.

Take a look at my latest videos.I recently had a nice qso with Mike OE5MSM and have put subtitle on so that you and others know whats going on.It's good practice to try and follow the code and read subtitles at the same time!

    All the best

    Sandy,

I had an chance to watch your latest video this morning before work. As usual, you cw skill is impressive. It is a joy to watch you use the key!

As i was viewing I was already thinking about what a great learning tool this video is since you put the text on the screen. It's a 'keeper' in my files!

  • Sweet project and a very nice rig!

Would love to see more metal work in the future . . . always fascinated at your inventiveness and ability to salvage / recycle materials.

What were you using for an antenna?

    Keep up the good work!

    David,

As always, thanks for your comments. The weather is cooling a little here in MS and that makes for more inviting shop work. In fact, I plan on at least one perhaps two, shop related videos within the next few days.

As for the antenna, I am using the S9v...it's working well.
