@jookast If you have a gameshark, press Add Cheat and a screen will come up for you to add it. If you have an emulator, go to the cheat list, right click, and push Add Cheat, and a screen should come up.

Well for the Nintendo 64, you have to have a Gameshark that has a Memory Editor.

I think you might need to do the key code thing, but I usually don't do that because it might break your gameshark.

The gameshark comes with a list of key codes so if you look through them and find one called Banjo that should be it.

Oh first click Options, then Settings, and then click on the Options tab. Then uncheck Hide Advanced Settings. Then go back to the cheat list, right click on it, and push Add Cheat.

Oh that's what happens when you try color codes on a gameshark. Color codes only work on an emulator.

You might have to be in the "outside castle" area already before turning it on for it to work. If that doesn't work, make sure you typed in the code right and that you're using an NTSC version of the game.

Before you start the game, go to code generator and turn it on. Then when you push the button on your gameshark, a menu will come up. And one of the options is turn codes on or off.

No, the Play As Yoshi code (and most others) are only programmed to work outside the castle because Yoshi's graphics are only present in the memory outside of the castle. Also the adresses would be for something different other than Mario in the castle so it could have messed up anything to make it freeze.

Well if you really want that game, you should get it instead. If you want to use cheat codes like with a gameshark, you can get an emulator and play the games on your computer and use cheat codes. (Emulators can be downloaded free off the internet) I use my gameshark to make codes with the memory editor, and to use codes on my N64 when I want to.

Yes. But the cheats in this video aren't mine. I would use codes I found and some color codes I made in my earlier videos, and put who made them in description. Well color codes don't work on a Nintendo 64 Gameshark, only an emulator. And if the codes make your game break, you must have typed them in wrong.
