THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING!!!! This is the version of this song that 1st heard. Though there were others, this version brings back the memories of the 3rd Marine Brigade, Okinawa Japan and Marine Barracks Subic bay RP and the dance clubs overseas!!!!
HouseMusic is about the LOVE,within the space, that you find yourself in on the Club/Dance floor! Peace To All...HouseMusic Never Dies, Sound Waves Travel Forever Throughout Eternity!
@wonkaviewer This version is the on the CD. Its the Club Mix by Def Mix David Morales. This is the club banger still hits hard, but you gotta play it for people that will understand it. Matronix also did India's debt... Believe It! Mantronix = KING OF THE BEAT
Mantronix was the Shit!!!!!!!!! I love how he mixed the old Apache breakbeat in the song. Days when songs like this were made are long gone but not forgotten. Peace.
Absolutely classic! Original is the best. Too many copies, i cant stand the remix from those wannabe groups. Bring back Mantronix.... Got to have your Mantronix, Cha!
I have just found out that bryce was also the smooth rapper in another 90's UK group " Reach" that came around 1990-1991 with their club hit" sooner or later". Everything those guys came to touch was always so funky and danceable, with soulful female vocals and excellent beat to match. Check him out doing his thing with that other group" Reach- Sooner or Later".
@Funkycraze you may already know that Brice was also involved with another group called "Groove Theory" , him and a lady called Amel Larrieux with great vocals too!
Never heard this version of the song but I love it as much as the original. Woow, what happened to good music. . .and cute brothas like the ones in that video???? Hollllllaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
Actually the cute brother like this one, there are so many like him in every city in America, we're still around!! lol!!
I met bryce wilson in harlem the other day, a really cool dude, older but you would not tell, that man is not showing any sign of aging at all, smooth skin, though of a much lighter complexion, I hard time recognizing him. I still I had to mess with and sing that chorus to him "got to have your love", we both ended up laughing, he is really cool, he can take a joke!! lol
@hipsam33: thanks for commenting so I could check out this song again. Gosh, there was something about this song that, for the first time in my young life, just made WANT to know what it was like to be in love. Listening NOW it makes me feel THE SAME WAY: kinda of that longing desire to get into somebody's heart or to be felt in someone's heart. {sigh...}
If you remember these old school classics. then you need to check out MasterCutz & DJ Ranger who have a show called Timeless Sessions on icecoldfm. Its an online radio station or on radio 103.0. all these 2 play is back in the day stuff. either old school house, hip hop or soul. i stunbled across them but i always listen to them. they play some real classics. dont know how many tunes these boys have but they must be some real collectors. they tend to be on at the weekends
Oh wow, I was such a dancing queen in the 90s and this was the song that I never could get enough of! I thought I would never hear this song again and then I found it here. To be 21 again......feels like just yesterday! Thanks for posting it.
They never truly showed her full figure in any of the Mantronix videos, I think she may have been overweight so they just showed the face. But our vocals are amazing. She is truly a piece of talent. Yes! this videos was played in Europe, I was living there in the 80s and early 90s so I am used to this videos. Did not know there were a different one playing here at that time!! lol!! Check out Tongue n' cheek "nobody" if you like this song.
Hey actually there is one of the videos on this page where you can see Wondress in full form, and in that clip she is small, so check out all there vids and you may find the one that I am referring too, anyway this MUSIC was CLASSIC HIP HOUSE FROM BACK IN THE DAY, these children today dont know what they missed, I love being 40 and being there/around in that era of DISCO, CLASSIC HOUSE, RAP/HIP HOP, and R&B. PEACE & BLESS HOUSE HEADS!
is it me or am i a manwhore? wondress is not an ugly woman (keep in mind i have never seen this video) but she is sexy as all get out for some odd reason. always loved this song but the album was ok in my opnion. huge fan of mantronix though.
I used to go crazy when bruce says make it funky, man that song was hot. I danced to this for hours, I was actually back then, I thought they were british, was surprise to find out they were from NY. Bruce is a cool dude, you can see him hang around harlem doing his thing.met him some time ago, old boy ain't getting old at all, you'll think he is 29 or some like that!! lol lol
Sing Wondrous!! and my boy Bryce I went to H.S. with at Springfield Gardens in Queens, NY. Sorry I don't know the name of the latino guy but good work...Thanks pioneers..
Ok.. I can name at least 3 different dances going on there (roger rabbit, running man, mc hammer, what else...)Nice post...totally forgot all about this song produced by mantronix
I think if this era was the 80s none of those chumps like britney spears, Ciara, lil'this, lil'that, Rihana, would have had a chance. They honestly suck with that crappy commercial pop shit. The 80s and early 90s had flavor, variety, talent was taken to another level, we were demanding and artist had to come up with great stuff to get our attention, you were not know by your name or booty or wtf crazy stuff you did, you were known because either your voice, your beat, rhymes was off the chain!
You act like all of the 80/90s were hot. As though there were no corny, one hit bums. The digital era has enabled anyone with a keyboard and software package to try their hand. No music progams in public school either. There are plenty of real artists around, however they cannot produce the revenue stream of the current fare. The industry is impatient; why build a brand when we can sell platinum out the gate with these cheap productions. Eazy-E, 2 live Crew, and Milli Vanili changed everything.
Yeah I knew that was bruce wilson aka bruce luvah. I prefer this sound better than his stint with groove theory. I don't even know why he went into acting he always play the pretty boy anyway. he is so much better at producing, I mean seems like mantronik was the producer and him the rapper instead, but hey that was some hot act in 89-90 a #1 hit chart and club favorite. Maybe they should get together again and save us from that gangsta shit they playing today, we need real music desperately.
Alot of people don't realize but the guy rapping is producer Bryce Wilson, from Groove Theory fame, also from the movie Beauty Shop with Queen Latifah, been in the game awhile.
