  • p.s. btw till 1977 afganistan was a relatively stable country - USSR friendly neighbor. then the usa (kissinger) invented and sponsored the talibans. 1-2 years after they started to destabilize afganistan USSR invaded afganistan. Kissinger is very proud with his idea - it helped great deal to bankrupt the ussr. many innocent people's lives but who cares...now the pipeline was first - it was known in 1999. pity. all the politics are shit in general. just smell different but the

  • true. the reporter is a little too hyper...i don't see the link between USSR war 20-30 years ago and the story in NY times / the minerals in afganistan / the us war there / the us desire to continue the occupation forever. it is good to be informed. now i know about the minerals there - i guess he will want to talk about me next time ...

  • If they found di-lithium crystals would Capt Kirk invade?

  • It was known before 1997. My sources,"The Grand Chessboard". A book written by "Zbigniew Brizezinsky". The neo-con, Rockefeller's right hand man and Obama,s political GURU. One must read it to know the facts of AFGHAN war.

  • yep, as soon as he mentions russia, he gets his line nipped in the bud... rt is gettin' pretty dam biased

  • RT is great news, but this reporter's ducky voice in high tune isn't too much?

Hope she can slow down with lower tune be nice

  • I voice in her ear piece saying " cut this guy off now or you will be on the next flight to Siberia" Seriously though I know for a fact that the US Army themselves are drilling in Afghanistan using their own equipment !

  • It is a nice detail, that Ms RT interrupts Paul Jay the mnment he mentions Russia. "Do not communicare, like any good Call Center Agent in telemarketing would do..

  • Paul Jay is fast becoming a Canadian Icon.....

  • @TheTwistedGypsy

look into the man's eyes, aren't they wonderful?

  • Yeah she cuts him off too often, what a loud mouth.

  • She got a little ticked off LOL. I don't think Paul will be back on there anytime soon. I love these aggrevated interviews. These alternative news networks shouldn't be fighting each other, but should be fighting the main stream media.

  • lol at the end she says "we'd be glad to have you back on the show". He never was on the show after this.

They didn't like his neutral point of view on regards to russia lol

  • Paul Jay owns, I love how he refused submission to the anchors clear bias.

  • This must have inspired the movie Avatar.

  • OFCOURSE WE KNEW ABOUT IT FOR THE LAST 25 years , America still kills for money!!! come on people dont act shocked, your nice home will benifit from all the DEAD muslem's, America should get another 30 years growth from all the MURDERED people for minerals, what a nice country!!

  • @QuranicIslam It's too late my friend,I've tried talking to these puppets working for RTnews. It's hopeless,RT started off really well-rounded apart from NOT exposing the Lack of Free speech and police brutality in Russia but soon after gathering a larger number of subscribers it turned stupid like the rest of the news channels out there. Now all that's left are those un-willing to face the facts mentioned above.

On a good note my subscribers list is growing quickly.

    cheers

  • Corrupt USA and World Leaders need to get their Scum of SWAMP RAT presence out of AFGHANISTAN ... ASAP!!!

This is a Grab for OIL only it is RARE PRECIOUS Minerals

  • @SiNaoia And it's precious poppy crops.

Has anyone asked them selves where do pharmaceutical manufacturers get their raw resources?

  • @ISamuelII

I knew that had some of the best poppy's b/c of climate (?) but thought it was going through the back door... but I can see Pharmaceutical companies purchasing their opium...smile

But I didn't know about the minerals... Makes me think about the movie "AVATAR"

Very Spiritual community had Rare Minerals under their Sacred Tree and Aliens/Foreigners wanted them & was willing to destroy the people & their community to get the minerals...but

SPIRITUAL POWER WAS MIGHTIER THAN PUNY MAN!!

  • @SiNaoia That was one of the few movies I've seen in the past few years. Nice concept of tapping into your horsey ride.

The general make up of the geology would tell you of the potential for mineral riches. Volcanic uplifts and broken ranges. I would love to go rock hounding there myself.

  • @ISamuelII

Lol...really good to post with you my friend... and regarding the movie "AVATAR" I had not intentions of seeing that movie but the day it came out that was the movie a family member wanted to see so I took her and Wow!!! I love it...smile

Russia must have know about this as well... When they went into Afghanistan in the 70's & 80's but it seems clear that President Reagan knew nothing about it or he would not have just abandon the country.

WE NEED TO LEAVE AFGHANISTAN ALONE!!!

  • @ISamuelII

Enough of powerful countries Raping and Stealing the precious minerals of a country and leaving the TRUE indigenous people empty... ENOUGH!!!

Everybody Powerful Country needs to get out and let the people work this out as a country without external negativity... and Greed. smile..

I heard their Poppy crops was super BAD... SUPER good!!!

    Peace and Love my brother.

  • @SiNaoia There has been a trend with the oil at least. When a nations leader proposes to share the wealth of the oil under the people living over it, they suddenly become the western parasites greatest enemy.

  • @ISamuelII

i.e., Afghanistan President Karzai proposes to share the wealth and now he & or Afghanistan will become Western Worlds greatest parasitic enemy? Is that what you mean?

Kharzai is a man I do not trust... & I wish for Afghanistan to select a leader that truly loves and respect his people and puts his/her country and people above all other countries and or people...

Jaime Roldós Aguilera of Equador: an excellent example of a good president with courage who loved his country & people

  • @SiNaoia That has been the trend, just watch. The guy was selected for his oily ties to the big parasites. Now his 'people' are on him for the corruption he has bent over for and he will become the next "bad guy" in the eyes of the west.

  • I believe this guy cause US was at war with Afgan since Clinton. Now u talking bout a country that can not compare with Iraq in economic value. How do they get all these guns? How do they fight the US this long when they live in mountains and raise sheep? Someone is supporting them...

  • RT is nothing but Russian Propoganda.. shrouded under the vail of "objective" news reporting.

  • tbh every one says ohh were gonna get rich and blah blah who should get gold first and etc

Honestly Gtfo its the peoples Country let them have it on there own and gtfo outa other peoples countries and run your own.. Lmfao..Every one is talking like Afghanistan doesnt have pple living in it, its just plain open land its not..think of the inocent people that live there..let them have there own shit and dont mess them up and let them live hapily on there own..Honestly lmfao..

  • All great news channels can loose viewers BIG TIME if they hire a bunch of stupid annoying eye candies as news anchors who just cut off public opinion from being exposed.

    2:56 was indeed shameful.

  • fuck USA

  • Afghanistan is fucked now we were ther just because of revenge but add greed to the equation and you got a complete fucking disaster and china wants in on the deal too....can you spell world war 3?

  • @kinghur I'm glad you know how to paraphrase from the Jon Stewart show.

  • @Product1999 And I'm glad sarcasm is a skill that has not passed you

  • hahaha...the evil scumbag international bankers already dividing up Afghanistans vvorth...if only the afghanies vvernt in the vvay!! fk it ...kill the uber rich and back to the dark ages...LOL

  • look America is not stupid probably they took as much they can and now they informed afghans for the leftovers

  • Interrupting him at 2:56 was really shameful

  • @Sturmpionier03 Well he started talking about Russia haha. You can't talk about the U.S. on U.S. news. Can't talk about Britain on British news.

Don't see why it would be any different in Russia. Noam Chomsky's propaganda model at work right here.

  • She is extremely annoying and unprofessional. If she has some troubles, she should stay at home and her bosses should explain her that this is not an Oprah Show.

  • i honestly think they are revealing all this unusual stories because WIKILEAKS is about to release it. Along with shit loads of other goodies.

  • The minerals have been known about for decades.

  • Lol, RT is no different than other media, NO MEDIA IS RELIABLE

  • @Valdris1987 NOW YOU KNOW WHY 9/11 HAPPENED.. ALL ALONG IT WAS TO GET INTO AFGHANISTAN O.O

lol.... why didn't the afghans try and collect this crap and sell it? they coulda made a ton... =/ all this time whining about Opium is the only way to make a living .. *a pish moment.*

  • Lame, she kept interrupting him every time he mentioned Russia.

  • Comment removed

  • he's not revealing any damning info on russia. i think it's she cut him off the first time because he was rambling. anyways - the US is in Afghanistan for four reasons - if it were just one reason, we wouldn't be there.

it's about strategic placement on the eastern flank of iran, stabilizing the region for the trans-afghani pipeline, controlling the vast poppy fields for distribution in Asia and Europe, and the mineral wealth. the last three, each, represent trillions of dollars.

  • We've known about the vast mineral riches of Afghanistan since the 50s, actually. Maybe we just updated the exact figure, but it's been common knowledge for half a century.

  • RT news agency is biased

  • Paul Jay, speaks it like it is.

However, yes, he was cut off twice, but she did give him a last word.

O'Reilly would call him a mad idiot & tell him to shut up.

  • Of course the USA knew about it... since the eighties.

This is why they are Occupying Afghanistan.

  • Send the military forces into this area (at the tax payers expense). Slaughter & annihilate the indiginous population. Label them as untamed savage insurgents when they fight back. Tell the "civilized" world that a favor is being performed 4 these ignoramis's. Make $ profits & share nothing with the common folks. Tell they are very lucky 2 b "free" people. A false flag operation here & there keeps people brainwashed. This democracy & free market stuff is enough to make an actor run for prez.

  • hahaha..yeah she does cut him off at 2:56....well...at least RT is good at picking up stories and exposing things about america that never even get on the radar in our WORTHLESS media.

I guess this goes to show though..we all have a master..RT is no different. ;)

  • He makes a good point about when he talks about Russia. Now that I think about it, RT has been very good about exposing the US for various transgressions, but rarely, do I hear stories about corruption or transgressions going on in Russia! Double standard?

  • This shit hole is gonna bleed us dry. Just like it did to every other power that tried to hold it.

  • damn, US is going to steal all the gold. SCUM

  • One thing is for sure is that the Afghanistan people will not reap any rewards of this mineral deposit. The corporations will kill lie cheat and steal for it at any cost. I wish I lived in a world where we truly put people and the earth first and money last. Yes I'm a dreamer , but I'm not the only one.

  • Comment removed

  • Who cares about flakes of gold, let's grow us some poppies!

  • Im really happy how he pointed out to her that she cut him off BOTH time he mentioned Russia...

  • Yes Paul is speaking truth, there is Oil too, governments try to keep us stupid and don’t talk a bout there real motivations, they knew all along. A oil refinery is already build but not oil yet , first the Taliban has to be terminated. So its save to trill and mine. apple pie or Lemmon its your choice. We pay and die for their Toilet paper.

  • They should give mining rights and ore that's been mined up allready to the US as 'payment' for having to fight this goddam war.

  • so this is why our corporate controlled government has us in afghanistan....trillions in mineral deposits

  • @signboyy yep

  • anyone seen MR B laden lately , thought not

  • Oh, oh, OH I get it, "It can be used to pay for the war."

  • The minerals are no surprise I asked my husband a few years back whet we were ding there and he said gold & minerals. He is a diplomat in the mid east.

  • This sounds like a smoke screen to me. Choosing the lesser of evils. It's better to entertain a conspiracy theory about "gold minerals," in order to cover up why the West is really there -- oil pipelines and opium trafficking.

  • @seanboy80 lol the west is their for both its just the pipelines and opium trafficking that runs under the table most ppl know y the us is their it's for money, how they are getting their money doesnt matter but the point is it is a war for money not for democracy or freedom if we had wars for people's rights we would be in Africa saving people who are starving and being ethnically cleansed

  • Thanks Paul Jay, you rock! And Dina, you look fabulous as always. But please dont cut poor Paul off. Paul, I think what your missing is that the U.S. is too busy with " Nation Building " to even know what minerals or natural resources a country has. Don't forget, its not Imperial Occupation. Its " Nation Building " .

  • Wow cant believe how she cut him off when he mentioned Russia. Fucking disgusting. Well after all the journalists that have been killed mysteriously in Russia I too would be pretty scared. But RT will never report that. America might be bad in someways but Russia goes a lot further and if they had the military capacity and overall economic power they would have the whole world under water.

  • Mad Max prequel. How it all began.

  • Funny how she cuts him off when he names Russia, at 2:56

  • Yes you're right and I've noticed this type of behavior before they seem to have No problem making stories against the US but seem to be un-able to handle the truth when it involves Russia looking bad,I'm hoping someday RTnews will have some stories on how some of their freedom fighters have been killed, what about China's human rights problems?

    Hello RTnews are you listening

Please be neutral and report globally,I subed because of the honest hard hitting stories let's keep it that way please

  • @connectingdots1 No chance of that happening. The company that owns RT is a state company owned by the Russian state.

  • @connectingdots1 LOL you telling rt to be neutral.....have you seen americas conporate news companies?? they sell lies to everyone in this world....

  • @theesenuttz Then she brings it back to the US and 2007...

  • @theesenuttz

Touche...!!! It is very interesting how the Russian Media employee cuts him off as he is getting ready to share What Russia Knew?

    All Media is Corrupt!!!

  • @theesenuttz thumbs up to comment, thumbs down to the biased reporting

  • Sounds like the premise of the movie Avatar. Like - exactly - parallel to it.
