It appears to be coming from the top of that mountain shining up into the sky.

They are claiming it is moving and that *light* is it's tail.

Wow. In the Tommy Simonsen clip in the middle of your compilation (3:22) you can actually see some of the horizon (launch? explosion?) effect at the bottom of the trajectory. Hope that no one got hurt.

Back in the late 60's, early 70's they used to send stuff up in the skies over Pasadena, perhaps Jet Propulsion Lab experiments? Anyhow it created quite a light show of colorful squiggly lines. I wonder now if I'd seen them from the correct angle I'd have seen spirals?
