Easily my favorite track from NJ1. Though I remember this from the cutscene before 3-1, where Ryu is talking to that archaeologist who was a friend of his late father. This song is perfect background music for serious discussion moments.

The key is to jump onto a wall and wall-jump until you're out of the father's reach.

Jaquio is a tough one... never quite figured it out. I can time his pattern just fine; the problem is dodging the fireballs...

@DanielSong39 The only possible way to defeat Jaquio without cheats is probably to do the "wall glitch". Climb all the way up on the left wall, wait for him to get next to you, then jump into him. You will be bounced back, up the wall, standing. And from there you can easily duck his fireballs and strike him 2-4 times when he gets there.

@DrJohnCockwalrus jaquio is rough, but once you die you can just fight your way back up from 6-1 and it skips ryus father. Also you beat the dad by slash the orb. once he gets too close, wall jump up to the top. wait for im to get over there, jump off run to the other side, climb wait, jump off, other side jump and slash a few times climb wait repeat

the trick to beating jacquio is putting up with going back to him after he kills you. get the spin slash in 6-3, last item in the first area, and hold onto it all the way til the end(hard). 1 jump slash will kill jacquio or take him to litterally 1 health.

this always reminds me of a temple for some reason. also EVERY single boss can die in one hit or two max if you just jump n slash. i tried this by mistake on the first boss and he died in one hit! i used it everywhere after that and this game became so easy xD

I don't have a NES anymore but I still have the cartridge.

Many nights when I'm alone I hold it my hand and close my eyes. I imagine myself playing through the game from start to finish.

As I get into the game I begin to wave the cartridge back and forth and hum the music.

After awhile though I begin to realize that my childhood has been lost forever and I burst into tears. I slowly put the game away then crawl under the covers, my lips puckered around my thumb.

i thought this was the music for 4-3 but i was wrong i forgot about the stage where u have to go in to the runes and kill that frog statue but this is just befor act 3 in the cut seen where Dr.Smith and Ryu r talking about the 2 demon statues and then it gets stolen
