@KrazeDiamond Also the slow speed and fast recovery time of the sonic boom needs to be taken into consideration. Guile can walk next to his sonic boom which allows him to advance safely. A hadoken comes out much faster but with a longer recovery time. They're both used for space control but guile's sonic boom has a different utiltiy then a shoto's fireball.

Honestly guys this isnt the benchmark for Guile play...its just ONE style of Guile play. If you guys think Guile is all about spamming ur crazy. He has the most effective rush down game Ive seen, since he can use a variety of ways to break your defense and crush you.

You should watch Gilleybabas youtube page or look for Fuson909...those two are excellent rush down Guiles and hadouken spam will get raped by them.

Are you saying you can play Guile better? This guy did play defensively - offensively, he kept switching back n' forth. He is a Guile pro, don't hate 'cos you know he'll own you. Notice he doesn't turtle? Also, something perhaps you do not know, Ryu/Akuma/Ken/Sagat/Chun-Li/Ab­el HK have higher priority than Guile. And Guile is a "zoing" character that needs to keep a safe-distance that's just right 'cos he's not a good charcater for range nor close combats.

Seriously, right?! lol Like tarateef said, Guile's been a "turtle" character since Street Fighter II. His arsenal revolves around full to mid-screen Sonic Boom baits that will land things like back/forward MK, crouching or forward HP, and, of course, Flash Kick. Based on what these people keep saying about what they consider scrubby or noobish, I can only imagine what Guile looks like in their hands. Ugh...train wreck is all I'm going to say.  ;)

It's very unintelligible to say it's fireball spam. Have you seen Ryu and Sagat? They literally don't move when able to spam. Guile on the other hand has to move about BECAUSE HE HAS TO CHARGE. This also mixes the zoning/trap game.

His sonic boom may be faster, but since it's a charge move, it loses out to fireball motions.

This has always been Guile's play style. It's been perfected over a decade by pros and competitive play. If you don't like it, cry to someone who cares.
