But HIGHLY recommended to get the power to the ground instead of spinning one wheel.
What you want is a "Competition Package" equipped Redline. It'll have the LSD, the boost gauge/ladder tach, & the gunmetal wheels with the polished lip (those are the give aways).
@snobrdrdan I have a pretty heavily modded stage 2 265hp 05 Redline and a 06 Cobalt with LSD with intake and exhaust can keep up quiet well from a start due to my traction loss.
@Ghostixe easy guy, I was joking. Its pretty much a Cobalt SS/SC with diferent clothes and shoes is all, and those are dope. Unique cars are good cars.
@golfinguy55555 Agreed, I've had mine for a few years and you do get used to the gauges being there. Really handy in autocross, you can see the tach/speedo no matter where the wheel is turned. It's definitely not a car you see every day.
hey i got it working it was a fuse but when i hit 2nd gear like the car dies it feels like is goin to die and it pops a lil engine stop light with a lil hand and then ill stop and wait like 2 mins and then the car turns on like nothing happened wats the best way to set the boost gauge and the knobs in the back? maybe is that lack of power of so i have an 06 ion redline catback system after market intake..
But to adjust the "ladder tach" lights on the boost gauge, it's in the owner's manual.
OR if you look on redlineforums . com there is a thread in the How To section called "Adjust your Ladder Tach Lights" that you can read or just google it.
The settings can be adjusted by turning the stem behind each light. To have the light pair come on at a higher rpm level turn the stem counterclockwise. To have the light pair come on at a lower rpm level, turn the stem clockwise. Each turn adjust the settings by 100 rpm.
To resort the default settings, press and hold any stem for three seconds. The lights will flash three times.
To turn the lights off or on, press and release any stem.
Yeah my redline sucks i mean it only runs low 12 ill have video up soon so you can see how bad it sucks. 06 RL 60# injectors 2.8 pulley, 3 in exhaust, new headers and downpipe, ported head and supercharger and a custom tune and a new intercooler, no show all go. what are you driving and what do you run?? guarantee ill run 3 or more car lengths on you. thats with my 2 liter
Cool

@golfinguy55555
Sounds weird, but you actually DO get used it and it's not a big deal after a while.
I have a 2010 VW GTI now, but I still miss my Redline.....it was a nice/unique car

I don't have the car anymore (have a '09 Stage 2+ VW GTI now), but I was using 93 octane from BP all the time in that Stage 2 Redline

is it possible to put one of these guages on a 2004 redline
esllove 2 years ago
Yes. You just need to buy the gauge/pod setup from Saturn or used, and then hardwire it.
If you check out redlineforums. com there is a DIY/tutorial on how to install it!

I don't know about the lack of power.

Lower: 4400 rpm
Middle: 5600 rpm
Top: 6200 rpm.
