  • Never Heard This From Him Cool Track!

  • SOOO much flavah!!! man wat happen hip hop-oh well it will come baq to originality-i hope:(

  • this dude so original man drake aint touchin this nigga

  • If there were ever a perfect MC, common would be it

  • Drake just doesmt know what he's in for lol

  • 3:09 "Hold Up My Draws Are In My Crack.........Iiaght Back To Tape" lol This Dude Is Wild.

  • I feel so sorry for the next generation who never get a chance to be this animated or intelligent with their lyrics. It would go over their heads. I actually got an apology from my folks' generation, saying at least 90's hip hop had classy beats and smart words. My folks say my son's generation has boring repetitive beats and words. "Why do they keep saying black and yellow? They're just colors," my grandma said. LMAO

  • @les907 it totally agree with you and trust me i'll teach my kids the right way ;)

  • Drake cant touch this nigga

  • and drake tries to touch him...

  • this was beautiful when it came out. it was nice to see chicago really getting on the hip-hop map.

  • @jacknapyer yeah i remember the first time this came on the Juke Box. I saw the Sears Tower and like HELL YEAH!

  • one of hip hops greatest moments

  • common looks so young. holdin it down

  • squeaky fuck.... BTW I liked this video :D

  • YO CHECK OUT

Eli G - Keep On Going

  • 2:24 Oh my god Its like im in a dream

  • So fresh!!!

  • Where is the tune from?

  • Common is really blessed to still have a meaningful and financially fulfilling career. Most of the rappers who came out in '92 are nowhere to be found. And broke at that. Especially people who rapped like this.

  • if anyone wants to know the sample it's "Rasa - when will the day come"

  • i love how his voice cracks/high pitches haha

  • @ the90skid20 the album is called a penny for my thoughts...

  • I always used to say, that Common sense was overrated

  • What album is this on

  • @the90skid20 Common Sense- Can I borrow a Dollar?

  • haha, love his random high pitches!

  • This is the first HIP HOP SONG ive ever heard.......

    WOOOOOORRRRDDDDD!!!

  • God bring hiphop back. back to the old phatt dayz... nasty days.... days when commen sense ruled the streets!!!! so awesome

  • Wow - that bridge that Rashid (Common) and Twilite are dancing on in the daytime shots is now COVERED with condos on both sides....20 years is a long time. (Roosevelt between Canal and State)

  • Love it!!!

  • the beat that comes in at 2:22-2:40 sounds like a nice summer time beat

  • that nigga was soo raw when he first came out.

  • @TheDemonicSkull....found it ....that chorus had stuck on my head like a nursery rhyme lol Thanks!!

  • @EdiBlazE My pleasure man!

  • Im looking for another hiphop song with a kid singing the chorus "u got to take it easy ohh ohh" anyone know the artist??

  • @EdiBlazE Think it's Mad Lion - Take it Easy you're lookin' for

  • Real Hip Hop

  • beautifull music hiphop @its finest-and how could da metaphores be crazier than lil'wyns yet mak more sence???LOL

  • 36 people need to take it ez

  • lmao common is so ...energenic man he's so calm now

  • addicting

  • he only kicked this style on his first album, wish he could do it again

  • @Andre30001968222 Well, this is almost 20 years ago....

  • @Andre30001968222 If he "kicked" this style he would be in the same place as Das EFX, Lords Of The Underground, the Fu Shinkens and EVERY other MC who rocked this style in the early 90's (including Jay Z)

    Nowhere...

I love this song and album, but MC's can't stay stuck to any one era or they play out. Period.

  • @Andre30001968222

Yah,...the name common sense was stollen by rasheed,....of now common

  • @Andre30001968222 Listen to "The Dreamer,The Believer" ...

  • @Andre30001968222

    i feel you hommie

so much energy in this steez!

  • i thought i never hear this song ever again. last time i heard this track was back in 92

  • Thanks to Common for shoutin' out MY CREW in the second verse!!! U.A.C. Crew (Up And Comin')... Ol' school stand up!!! And you can Google my name if you don't believe I made the crew U.A.C. Peace

  • @1971Diz i thought it was un american caravan lol

  • my mother says she knows the people in the video. i guess they used to hang. 0_o awkward

  • he was really young thats why his voice still cracks in this

  • This is tiiight!!! Ol skoo, looks like they had fun!!! Back when they had TALENT!!!

  • Fuck being 16 I wanna be 36

  • Ah thought 2:26 was Dwight Howard

  • 0:10 He sounds like a damn Pokemon or something lol

  • @TheTKCreborn well he did say something about bowser 0:21

  • @TheTKCreborn I think that's a needle scratching against the grooves on a record, like a skip when you bump the turntable.

  • @TheTKCreborn

Your right He stole the name Common Sense after a trip to california,...saw reggae band, and like the name of the band,....rip off!!!

  • looks like a das efx video lol .. everyone just tweakin out

  • This was interesting. I never heard this song from Common. Thanks for the post. Of course, they wrong for missing the low-five. LOL They were also using the cool special split effects before Cee-Lo repopularized it with his song Crazy. Of course, I kept waiting on Common to call himself the Daddy Mac and telling people he wants to make them jump. LOL. The only thing is that Common the actor is stiff, but his early rhymes are loose and his neo-soul vibe is smooth. It's amazing how time changes.

  • Some1's Voice Was Hella High In The Start Off Verse.I Love This Song Tho

  • Man this was my Shit when I was young!!! Ppl have no idea about this Common Sense!!! Yes I go back to this album with "Common"

  • I'm from Shreveport, LA and when this came out it gave me and my crew a sense of Cool whenever we heard it cause all we wanted to do was Take It Easy.

  • He sucks now..and he's a socialist rascist..word..I met him in '99..he was an asshole

  • It's so cute when his voice cracks :D

  • Awesome song, but what's with all the voice cracks? lol

  • LOL COMMON IN THIS VIDEO HAHAHA

  • what the FREAK are the 32 people who "disliked" this song possibly have to criticize about this song? i mean, i'm biased cause this song came out when i was leaving high school/entering college (the age when most hip-hop heads are at the prime of connoisseur -ship for the genre). so i was at that golden age when this song came out and it has emotional resonance with me. BUT STILL, take away that bias and this is still a classic hip hop song

  • True definition of Real Hip Hop.
