Actually MC fell from orbit with Mach 5 and survived.This is 500 kilos times 1,300 m/sec divided by two worth of kinetic energy. That's a lot. With weapons what matters is - their weight, the speed Kratos swings them with and how sharp they are(smaller surface are - better penetration)
They're weaker than plasma swords.A sword has super-heated ionized gas(plasma) and is molecularly sharp. It's described as being able to slice titanium like butter.And 1 plasma bolt from a riffle kills in 1 shot

MC can trick him into doing something - he is a tactical genius. And can't MC grab one of his chainswords and try to kill him with it - The Blades of Athena are crafted by the gods I believe.

1) he has access to weapons that beat anything in ancient greece's arsenal of weaponry
