@asdffd What a sick and twisted society we have when we let people off the hook when they play the race card or hide behind their high dollar attorney. Hell year show it on TV - it might make criminals think before they do something stupid!
I fully supported the death penalty until I became a Christ follower. I now find concern in punishing murderers by killing. I fully support aggressive Law Enforcement and holding people responsible for their actions, to include jailing them forever. Kill for self-defense if needed, but killing for punishment just seems wrong, and its NOT justified in the Bible as Christ said to love one another. Lock them up for life if needed, but always love one another.
cont... expressed that they would have voted differently if they knew about the bribe (to commute the co-defendant to a custodial sentence only in return for implicating Alderman) Of course he may be guilty but there are too many fundamental questions and the DP is absolute. Im no bleeding heart. Criminals should be punished; but at least with life imprisonment someone found innocent can at least be reprieved. These fox-pops are interesting and if im being honest, surprising.
In a leading British newspaper today (The Times)there is a report about Americas longest serving death row inmate; Jack Alderman, a British national. He is due to be executed in a few hours. He allegedly killed his wife in the seventies. However there are serious questions about his case. His co-defendent confessed to aided the murder but was then bribed. The DA involved said he structured the entire case around the co-defendants testimony. Several jurors involved have since cont...
I think life imprisonment is better than the death penalty, in a way the death penalty is lucky break, instead of having to rot in jail for 40 years...
I've been a resident of the state of Georgia since I was about five years old (1988/89), and I can tell you with confidence that your conclusion is accurate. What is troubling is that the people they interviewed were in downtown Atlanta in the vicinity of Georgia Tech and Georgia State University. The further you venture from the metro Atlanta area, the more applicable your conclusion becomes.
Lindsay shows us that people in Atlanta are for the most part uniformed and unconcerned about capital punishment in general and the execution of Troy Anthony Davis in particular.
This by no means is particular to Atlanta or the state of Georgia. I feel that Americans are uniformly uniformed and unconcerned with larger issues in their society...unless some mass media demagogue has mobilized them using hate and fear.
Fear criminals; hate the supposed 'criminal class': tacitly approve execution.
Have you watched all of the videos? I think that it is pretty clear that there is an even apportionment of folks who agree and disagree with the death penalty.
Concerning the rest of you comment, I am inclined to agree.

Yes, I've watched the other videos and I commend Lindsay and her crew. Here is my impression:
In the first on-the-street segment Lindsay asked people cold if they were aware of the upcoming execution...many, if not all, were not.
In this one we see her engaging people on the subject of executions in general.
My conclusion is that more people seem to have opinions than are actually informed of the facts.
