As a San Mateo resident from 1970 to 1978, I always hated going to that old library. What a tomb. I always went to the old Burlingame library instead. Wish I still lived there. It looks fantastic. Congratulations to all who pushed the project through.
Very interesting! I will always have a special place in my heart for the old library since I spent so much of my childhood there (my brother and I were even caught there during the big earthquake in 1989), but the new library is definitely state of the art!
